Best option to sell OMEGA Aquaterra and SMP 300

I will do that, I am aware that what people are asking for is not what the items are really being sold for. I just want it to be fair for both parties. I went to a local jeweler and they offered 2000 for the white dial SMP300 and 1500 for the blue dial Aqua Terra; I found this offer pretty insulting.

That is insulting. I'll give you more than that for either one of them. Seriously.

As mentioned, this forum has a "for sale" section, Watchuseek has a lot of traffic and I've sold a watch or two there, and RolexForums.com (TRF) is a very very high traffic forum that has a huge for sale section. But you have to pay to become a supporting member in order to post a for sale there. The only thing that gets more traffic than TRF is eBay.

Are you really sure that you want to sell? Those are two very nice watches and it would be a shame to take a loss on both. Wearing them in rotation with your other watches might give you a lot more satisfaction in the long run. Take proper care of them and you can always sell them later. Now is not the best time to be selling luxury goods as it's not a particularly strong market.

Look in eBay, filter to SOLD listings to get an idea of current sale prices.
This. Also, look at watchrecon to see what the asking prices are.

Perhaps the market was too strong and is now getting back to normal.

eBay feels saturated. More offers than demand for most things and I'm not sure the fees make it worth selling a luxury watch there...

If you price it right, you will have no problem selling it on the forums.

Pricing it right is the delicate balance. Nobody wants to price too low and leave money on the table, but price it too high and people take one look and walk away. I usually try to divorce myself of any perceived or personal value when I decide to sell a watch. I look at the hard data- what are comps selling for, and if I am motivated to sell, I price about 10-15% below that. It makes it enticing to prospective buyers and is still more than I would have gotten after auction fees. Win-win for everyone. But people get hung up on what they “think” a watch is “worth”…it’s only worth what someone will pay.
