Best omega bracelet for speedy Tuesday?

I've not attached 633s to the Speedy Tuesday but I have fit them to several other modern models including the 3570.50 and my Gemini 4 and they fit flush but you have to sort of slide and rotate them into position in a certain way to get them to line up correctly. Like you can't just push them into place from underneath the watch but have to line the tabs on the endlink up with the lugs and carefully slide them on from the outside in towards the watch case.

^ yep, that's pretty much how I do it. Has resulted in the backs of the lugs getting scratched, not that it bothers me personally. Trickier to get off than on I find.

There was a thread some time ago where @Archer mentioned that modern 633's are possibly slightly too wide and they occasionally require slight modification to fit new cases.

Shouldn't be an issue if the boutique has a watchmaker.

Hey everyone. I'm a little disappointed that the speedy tuesday does not come with a steel bracelet and I was hoping to add one. My omega AD is willing to order whichever one I want. Could someone please advise me of the best bracelet for this model? I would really appreciate a reference number for the bracelet especially. Pictures are also great if anyone has them .

Thanks OF,

Josh
Happy to see there is another Newfie watch lover 😉 Cheers, I am sure this piece will look great on most bracelets, however I would vote for any of the all-brushed options...the 1171 looks sharp. Just triple check the compatibility....I found that Omega is very hesitant to confirm or deny that a bracelet will fit any watch other than the one it was meant for....my experience with my 2000's Railmaster.

Cheers,

GV

I think 1171 will give it the best vintage-esq vibe. I went with the racing bracelet to save my nail from the older style clasp.

I believe it has 19mm lugs and would not fit

60th bracelet to me is the best of the bunch but 19mm will not have a firm fit on ST.

Yes, filing them to fit is common. Doesn't need a watchmaker as anyone with even a slight amount of skill can file an end link...

I would consider the 1168 (I know, it is rare..) for this fabulous watch!

Would you care to post a picture of your ST showcasing the 1171 😀 ? Many thanks for the information.

Sorry only just seen this comment, I put post a pic earlier but here is another(don't have any others on my tablet I'm afraid).

Yep, 1171 looks like the best option. Might consider getting that bracelet later on. Just ordered a Snoopy strap + deployant for my ST.

1171 does look great on Professionals. I will mount it during the weekend to the #ST as well.

I have a new 1171/633 bracelet and I couldn't fit it to my ST. The 633 end links are appear to be a touch wider than what the lugs can accept. Instead of messing with the end links or scratching the lugs I gave up and ordered a 1958/957.

Anyone else experienced this with a new (not vintage) 1171/633?
I had the same problem. It took some effort but I got them in finally. I really like the tapering of the 1171

Have you filed the end links down to make them fit?

With a little more pressure than I'd normally be comfortable with they went in. I decided to try this since the most common complaint about these end links is rattling I thought I'd try this. They barely move and they don't rattle

I’ll throw another option into the mix - the 1479/812. I have it on my 25th Anniversary of Apollo 11. Same taper to 16mm at the clasp, but arguably less rattles than the 1171. Vintage only but frequently available.
