First post, great to join and looking forward to engaging in the forums! Does anyone know if the bracelet on the newest 2021 Speedmaster will work for the Omega Speedy Tuesday ST1? I believe previous threads have commented on the older Speedmaster bracelets, but I'm curious about the newest model.
If you want a perfect fit, you will have to modify the end links on the 3861 bracelet - likely fully grind the "lip" out. My understanding is that we cannot order the end links separately from the bracelet and do some trial and error. Starting Apollo 11 50th, Omega started using a groove on the back of the case where this "lip" sits and ensures that the end links don't wobble.
OB price in the US is $680 for both the hesalite and sapphire versions. The Apollo 11 50th bracelet is $710.
Has anyone done this yet that can provide pictures? The idea of fitting the fully-brushed hesalite 3861 bracelet on the ST1 has been very enticing lately.
I’d do a 1171/833 from Omega. It will fit the brushed finished better I think. Or go Dr Seiko and have a jeweler apply a brushed finished.
Personally, I find the ST1 looks better on a leather strap. The somewhat unique brushed finish on the entire watch except the polished Omega symbol on the dial and on the crown is the show here and needs to be high!ighted. A bracelet just washes all this away.
The type of brushing on the ST1 and the 3861 hesalite bracelet is different. The bracelet needs to be refinished to match the case...
