Hey there, Would you be able to share on which boutique in Oz where they still have this? Will be visiting in October and would love to bring one home. Thanks in advance.
I'd be happy to, but unfortunately it was over a year ago, and from an old email I no longer have access to!

Where in Oz are you visiting?

Yo CanberraOmega, will be visiting Melbourne. Anyway inspired by your proactive initiate in emailing the boutiques, I had done the same and found that there is one OB which still has a copy. Awesome. Thanks man.

Melbourne has a few decent vintage stores, all overpriced of course.
- The watch gallery
- watch gallery (different to above)
- watch time

2 of those are within 2 min walk of each other in the CBD. @JimInOz might have more suggestions.

I might have a couple spares of the 'A Journey Through Time', definitely one is available for sale if someone is keen. Need to calculate the cost for international shipping though.

I picked up 'A journey Through Time' this morning at an Omega boutique. The staff was attentive and enthusiastic. In fact the store was actually busy compared to the other watch boutiques that are nearby. Within less than two hundred feet of the O.B. there are boutiques for Rolex, IWC, Jaeger Lecoultre, Vacheron Constantin. Most with no guests.

I spoke at length with one of the sales executives about the demand for new releases, which according to her, exceeds their ability to supply.
I wanted to see the FOIS and the new blue and white Speedmaster, both of which I had only seen in pictures and that is still the case.
If I understood her correctly (she had an accent, so a little unclear at times) putting a down payment on a soon to be released watch is no guarantee of delivery. There is apparently a "review process" where deposits are considered and approved. This process takes place at the offices of Omega in New Jersey where a clients profile is personally reviewed by a select committee of Swiss expatriates (just kidding about the Swiss). It sounded like the selection process that high end wineries use for determining who is to receive the newest vintage allotments.

In the end I walked out with this huge red bag, a giant book, a parting gift and a smile.

Having gone through the book, I agree Omega A Journey Through Time is a great read. But yikes, did not know it had a 400$ price tag.

Yes, but it may be difficult to find depending on where you are.

I contacted Swatch in the UK in mid march this year and they ordered one for me and posted it. It cost 225 pounds including shipping.
