What are some of the must have, Omega books?. Please add any other books on vintage watches you think should be in an enthusiast's library.

If you're going to have only one on Omega, I would suggest Omega: A Journey Through Time. Published in 2007, it's essentially the catalog of the holdings in the Omega Museum in Bienne, Switzerland. It was edited by the curator, I believe. It's an absolutely massive tome - hundreds of pages, profusely illustrated, and very oversize (not so much a coffee table book as a coffee table itself). It's priced to match, as well, so like all things Omega, you may have a bit of sticker shock. But it's worth every penny.

Please tell me where I can obtain a copy of Omega: A Journey Through Time. I have been looking for one and so far have had no luck.

I got mine through the forum here. However, if you're anywhere near a boutique, they may have one or could order one for you.

I met a guy from Omega at the James Bond Spectre event and I am busy waiting for it through my AD. They are out there apparently. I was told that they are printing me one. I don't know whether to believe that or not but I have paid a deposit for it.

for the people looking for them, where are you? I know that some of the Australian boutiques still had some recently, and they were happy to post it to me.

I'm in Oregon USA. I haven't yet made an exhaustive search with the USA boutiques, so will do that before I order from Australia.

When I told my sales associate at my local boutique that I had one, she said that I could have bought it from them, since they still have several copies. That was in December, but they had had them for a while by then, so I'm guessing that perhaps they hadn't sold. (If you're curious, it's the boutique in Troy, Michigan.)

As a first book, it's hard to go past Omega: A Journey Through Time - a selection of the Omega Musuem's timepieces, with plenty of anecdotes and story behind the history of the company and it's watches. Hefty, both in weight and price - but definitely worth it.

I got mine from an Australian eBay book seller a couple of months ago when I wanted to start learning more about watches :)

For the more historically inclined, another book titled Omega Saga is available, which is described as such by the website Omega Watches Expert (http://www.omega-watches-expert.com/omega-watch-books.html)

Desmond, operator of the Omega Constellation Collectors Blog (http://omega-constellation-collectors.blogspot.com.au/) reviewed AJTT (http://users.tpg.com.au/mondodec//Omegareview.pdf) and had this to say about it:

I ordered a copy through Swatch's main office in London last month. Perhaps if the OBs can t help you then you could try Omega direct in your part of the world. Including shipping it was 225 fine british pounds.
