Bent Seamaster DeVille Hands...Fixable?

Was thinking about putting the original hands back on my Seamaster DeVille that were replaced in Bienne at service. I noticed that the minute hand is bent slightly where the seconds hand might get stuck on it. Can I just bend it back? I'm worried that I might disturb the tritium that is starting to flake off of it. Wondering what options I have here.

Fixable, sure, but you would want to stabilize the lume before attempting to straighten the hand.

Very good idea. Thank you.

So basically stabilize with the acrylic adhesive used to mix luminous pigment powder? Or is there other product used specifically for stabilizer? Or does there need to be some luminous material added to the adhesive for it to bind?

You just use the binder by itself...

Wow, I can't believe Omega put those hands on the watch. 🤨

They said that was the closest they could get with what they had available. ::facepalm1::
Which is why I'm putting the originals back on.

OMEGA! Such a shame! I can't believe that....another great example why one should not bring vintage watches to omega for servicing. I wish you good luck with putting the original hands back on, and I'm sorry for what they did to your beautiful seamaster de ville 😀!

Actually Omega did a pretty good job restoring the watch considering how bad a shape it was in when I found it in my grandfather's shoebox in his closet. Had water damage and dial looked pretty beat up. Other than not having the correct hands it turned out well. I'm glad I have the original hands though to put back on.

LL6066 cal 550

Curious one - wonder if this is national production, rather than Swiss production. I am unable to find hands associated with this specific case on the Omega Extranet.

Did this go to Bienne, or was the service done at a local service center? The hands they selected are odd, because non-luminous hands are only fitted to non-luminous dials, per Omega Work Instruction 14. Luminous hands can go on dials without lume, but not the other way around.

LL6066 is a US, Norman Morris reference.

It was serviced in Bienne. The way I understood their explanation was that they had luminous hands they could have put on it but nothing close to what the originals looked like. They said the non lume hands looked closer to the originals in shape and size and is why they used them.

Interesting that they violated their own policies...

Back to original status! Got the original hands back on after adding some binder and bending them back into shape. So much better now.

That's a beautiful watch! Am I correct that it's a stainless bezel and lugs with gold hands and hour indices? I've been looking around for a SDV exactly like that but was beginning to think such a combination didn't exist! What movement does it contain?

Thanks! It's actually gold bezel and lugs. Stainless steel back. Cal. 550 as seen above.
