Sometimes I buy a watch only because it has an very early movement.

Omega bumper movement in 9.8 mil. ( have not seen any bumper earlier than that)

There are many beautiful movements in this thread but it's page 5 and there is still no Speedmaster example. Here is the Rhodium 1863 inside the 40th anniversary Speedmaster Italy special known as the "Albino".

Not enough Speedmasters in this thread? Let’s open the floodgates! My 345.0808, the gold tone version (without the glass back).

Even a humble watch can contain a pleasing surprise: here's Helvetia cal 830 from 1955.

Just a little suggestion. Use a piece of leather between the bow and chain clasp to protect the bow. Many times you'll see thinning of the bow when viewing vintage pocket watches on line. That thinning is caused by direct contact between the metal clasp of the chain and the bow.

I know this post is over a year old. But it is worth mentioning an alternative leather fitment is the leather “miracle braid” lanyard from @DaveK as shown on my Waltham Vanguard.

Or try this one on for size. Size 85, that is. A Hamilton model XXI marine chronometer. Key wind, key set, fusee, 14-jewels, 52-hours on a wind, with up/down indicator, Earnshaw chronometer detent escapement, fitted with gimbals, in it’s original Honduras mahogany case, finished Sept. 7, 1944. One of about 10,500 produced.

JLC caliber 925. Note the pink gold rotor with the JL symbol. What else would you expect from the Watchmaker’s Watchmaker?

Here's one you won't likely see in the wild. A largely under-the-radar manufacturer, and they certainly put their best foot forward here...
