I get the chunkiness, the bezel, the dial, the button.... even the great big lump of metalness. I really like it... but I can't imagine wearing it a lot, maybe it's an "if you like it, then buy one and do it" sort of watch.

It's definately not an "everyday" watch. That's what my Speedy Pro is for. But it would be one hell of a watch to wear on the weekends. I live on the coast and want a cool watch to wear to the beach that I'm not affraid of getting wet and beating up a bit.

I'm highly considering a purchase of the modern Ploprof but am having a hard time deciding between the steel case and the new Titanium version. What would you guys do? The titanium is obviously much lighter in weight and will probably be more comfortable but there is just something cool about having that big hunk of steel on your wrist. Also, the date/no-date discussion could be brought up as well.

I have the steel case modern. Setting the date it a headache, as there is no quick set. I like the weight on my wrist.

When you say waterski race, do you mean you were racing with some mates after some beers or something or was this like the Southern 80?

Because if its later, that's both extremely cool and borderline insane.

Bridge to bridge 😉

Skied it several years then found out buying fast boats and driving was fun and less pain 😉

its definitely that... a cool watch to wear to the beach without fear, I suppose I've already pigeon holed it... I think I need to find one a try it on, and that way trouble lies 😀

I've currently 4, 2 of 1st gen dial, one of 2nd gen and one of the 3rd gen dial.
I like them for what they are...

Wow definitely a nice collection 👍 Its one of those watches which I've always wanted but have yet to get

My ploprof is what brought me to OF two years ago, and is the watch that changed the course of my collection.

I had to let it go to fund my FAP 300 and sold to a close friend who loves it...so it is still in the family.

Super cool watches...

Well, do you? 😉

The one that combines the PloProf case with the SM 200 banana dial is pretty cool looking!
