·I get the chunkiness, the bezel, the dial, the button.... even the great big lump of metalness. I really like it... but I can't imagine wearing it a lot, maybe it's an "if you like it, then buy one and do it" sort of watch.

I'm highly considering a purchase of the modern Ploprof but am having a hard time deciding between the steel case and the new Titanium version. What would you guys do? The titanium is obviously much lighter in weight and will probably be more comfortable but there is just something cool about having that big hunk of steel on your wrist. Also, the date/no-date discussion could be brought up as well.
When you say waterski race, do you mean you were racing with some mates after some beers or something or was this like the Southern 80?
Because if its later, that's both extremely cool and borderline insane.
It's definately not an "everyday" watch. That's what my Speedy Pro is for. But it would be one hell of a watch to wear on the weekends. I live on the coast and want a cool watch to wear to the beach that I'm not affraid of getting wet and beating up a bit.
