@Mad Dog the moonies look way cooler IMO!👍 And I'm not sure I like the idea of you with a gun😉 (too much Dunkin Donuts coffee😲)...
But a jet is ok. ✈️ 😀

Potemkin? As in the battleship Potemkin? 👍

Top speed: About 130 mph.

Modified config 1/4 mile: 15.5 seconds with the current Ford Racing and SCT mods (3:73 gears, LSD and 15HP tune).
Stock config 1/4 mile: 15.9 seconds (250HP at crank, 297TQ).

0-55 mph: I have no idea...but I believe the drag race time slips may show this...I'll have to look.

55-0 mph: I have no idea.

Cornering G's: I have no idea.

Yes - as in battleship. And I had sort of an evil agenda... The obvious similarities apart - big, gray and guns - I sort of knew what answers that would come to my questions. Potemkin was looking rather impressive for its time but could not stop and could not corner.

Much like big US cars. ::stirthepot::

Power is nothing without control. ::rimshot::

😀😉

Sorta like trying to decide which watch to wear 😵‍💫,

... but which machine to ride/drive on this gorgeous day?

Well, of course, I was dressed for the black one, and this is a BICYCLE thread after all...👍

Yes sir! 👍

It's my 2007 Ford Police Interceptor (P71 base police package) that I purchased new from a Ford Fleet dealership in 2007 (first pic below). Following purchase, I had it modified with Ford Racing 3:73 gears / Trac-Lok LSD and an SCT tune. It's my daily driver and I occasionally drag race it at the local track...as well as show it at local cruise events...AND use it to haul my bikes around to local races. I got into cop cars while serving as a full time Cincinnati Police Officer from 2004 to 2006 while furloughed from Delta Air Lines (second pic below).

Must admit I love the glimpse we get of your life, 👍

@dougiedude...how do you like the Dura-Ace electronic shifting?
What I did was, I got the Madone with the full mechanical Dura-Ace groupo. When I decided I wanted the Di2 shifting, they put on the Ultegra version, keeping all else DA. Everyone I talked to said I would not be able to tell a difference between the Ultegra and DA, except for about 50g on the scale, and an extra $1000 into the vintage watch fund!

I so wanted to be a 'mechanical' hold-out (kinda like I am with my watches 😉, but the performance advantage and smoothness of shifting was just too great... i.e., I like it!

Ahhh... now we are talking control (yellow one...) Maybe not that much power - but extreme control. If I just was slender enough to get in it...

I will just add a couple of vintage De Rosa frames as an alibi for this post.

Yes... feels like a large go-cart.... But the 190 hp still allows 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds!

Dark one - yes.

1979-80 with Super Record and period correct parts.

Red one (1984-85) will get first version C-record - inluding "sheriff" high flange hubs. All the parts are on the shelf in the work shop. I am not there enough though.

What a beauty!

You'll have to post them up here when you finally finish...👍

Fall riding is definitely where it's at. Too bad it only lasts like 2 weeks here in NYC.

@MikiJ...I didn't have a watch on the wrist...just the clock (Garmin computer) on the handle bars. The black band on my left wrist is a Road ID.

Beautiful here in NYC today, topped out at just above 70 F. After getting home from work I was able to get in a quick 7 miles. Amazing that I haven't had to throw the Allez on the trainer yet, but we all know winter is coming. For that, I've outfitted my Cannondale Bad Boy with some nice Schwalbe Marathon 35c tires (love the reflective sidewall) and nifty Lezyne lights (last pic, think they're bright enough?) 😁.

I'm looking for some help.
I need to get a newer bike than I have right now.
I have a Lemond Nevada City, aluminum with a carbon fork. Early 2000's.

I saw thus bike, a Specalized Tarmac Pro. All carbon with Ultegra components and DuraAce crank. About 8 years old.

Is anyone familiar with this bike? Would it be good for a 56 mile race?
Any opinions would be great.
