For those who own both, which one would you keep if you had to give one up?
I don’t know. I like both. The black is great and the gilt + off white like give it a nice warmth. The blue is more stark but a more modern take.

If push came to shove, I’d probably keep the blue (just)

It is.. A navy blue bb58. There's no other way to describe it. Not sure it's ground breaking enough to really gush over but I'm sure I'll be wearing it all summer
Ugh, I may have to get this...

Was wearing my regular BB58...and met some guys who just picked up a blue. While it’s great, I won’t be a buyer, and hands down prefer the original. But hey, that’s just me. Different strokes for different folks...

Would still like to see this in the sun...but it sure is a nice blue...

It's a great blue. But it's more a deep matte blue.. This is not a sunburst dynamic blue like my 2 other summer blue dive watches below

But I still really like it.

Yep - used with the Tudor end links by all accts. mine should be arriving next week hopefully!
Jolly nice it is too. I actually like it with the OG 58 too.

probably add a vanguard now and complete the set!

This one is pretty funky? Or is it the plain blue or black Tribute?

Nice as the Midos are, I still think the Tudor is well worth the (RRP) asking price. Not sure why you're so down on them. My BB58B is hopefully arriving tomorrow 😀
Looks like that Mido was just officially released - Hodinkee has a "limited-time global exclusive" and it is limited to 1,961 pieces. Looks pretty cool in all of the additional pics posted!

I will order one ASAP!

One difference between the 2 58’s I am picking up on is that the crystal on the new one Seems more reflective. I wonder if they’ve changed (or removed) ar coating.

please share pictures when it arrives!

Really good and solid. For 95 euros is terrific value. Wears nicely and fits the end links ok. I’ve spent a lot more on things I like less.

thanks for the recommendation. Much appreciated. Will be a change up used a lot I think.

I couldn't resist picking one up, but did pay over retail...it has a kind of elegant simplicity to it that I really like.

Good to hear you feel the same as myself, the bracelet would cost a lot more with a different name on the clasp.

I had a shot at one, had it in my hands, but was frankly underwhelmed. For my 7.75" wrist it was too small. I have a Pelagos and prefer that size. For smaller wrists it is a nice piece. YMMV

It would indeed. The fact the clasp has 4 holes also is a great bonus. Might pop it on the blue today

Yes, I’m having the same issue. It seems to dominate the wrist time as it’s so easy to wear

Mine should be in sometime before the end of August. Since I already own a Pelagos not sure what hole this BB58 is likely to fill but I do like the idea of a more compact daily and couldn't get on with the gilt 58. The new strap options are pretty tasty.

strap might be the way to go, their bracelet leaves a bit to be desired
