It’s more likely to be like this I think - according to those who ‘know’ blue bezel, blue dial and no gilt.

I quite like it if this is it even if it seems a little lazy. although I have to say I’ll likely prefer the original which I have on now.

This is what I have been wanting!

It's clearly not Pelagos blue. Looks more like the Black Bay Blue blue.

if they're gonna go blue, I might like to see them embrace the Snowflake look more ... block hour markers, etc. Perhaps I, like OP, am asking for a 39mm Pelagos after all. To me the original 58 nailed it because it so clearly referenced the original no-crown Subs, but was thoroughly modern. To me, a blue version wouldn't have that. Regardless, if the rumors are true it's one of the releases I'm most intrigued by so far this year.

I think that I will wait until I see it in the metal before I make judgment. The blue will either make it or break it.

I’d prefer the Harrods green. I think that’s a smart looking watch.

Don’t care much for this shade of blue.

it will all depend on the shade of blue. . but to me it looks like a missed opportunity. and they have soooo many great blues to choose from. i'll stick with my original bb58

Anyone else feel that Rolex purposefully doesn’t style the Tudor as well as it could do it doesn’t actually compete with the Sub?

it’s like the smaller BMW’s like the 1 and 2 series. You know they can make them look better but want to keep the 3 and 5 selling better as they have better margins.

Yep. The Harrods edition (I understand the shade of green was already set) BB looked so flat.

This really should have been the same blue as the vintage Tudor Subs.

It kind of is, just not artificially aged.

If it is I fully retract my statement and doff my cap at a job well done.

I say kind of. You see a LOT of variation in the shade and tone of blue on the vintage Tudor Subs. The newers ones tend to be a much stronger blue, whereas the older ones look much lighter and sun-faded. Plus dial and bezel have often aged differently.

I personally feel it's a little on the boring/plain side. I know there are subtle and large (movement) differences of the 58 to the blue 41 but not enough to really set it visually apart. At least not enough for me to put my name on a waitlist. If this is their trend (ie converting the 41 series to 58) I will wait to see if they release a GMT version of the 58.
