Anyone receive theirs yet? I know delivery has started in the UK from what I've seen/read on Instagram.
Where have you seen in IG? I saw one but it was in the 10 past 10 position so assumed it was a demo model.

Hey Steve,

Check under the user Vintagelongines. I believe his is a real watch, and not the demo that Longines has been letting journalists, media, etc. borrow.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that. Yes looks good. All his pics appear to be set to 10.10 so maybe that’s what he does. He does indicate it’s his watch however which is cool. Looks ok. I’m going to wait until I can see in person before I pass judgement. I’m dithering between this and a bigeye currently....

Looks really well done and may help me in my goal of finding an affordable, true vintage.

The new Longines are okay, but don't seem to have the same soul they used to.

The Heritage Military watch is now available on Longines's e-shop. I am really torn about whether to buy this. Looks beautiful but will it really get a lot of wrist time? And will the fauxtina get on my nerves over time? Hmmmm...

Same with me. My AD called to tell me today that watch will be available next Monday. I’m too torn whether should I buy or skip....

For the moment at least, I've decided to give it a pass. There are too many other pieces I'd like to get, and that tells me that this won't end up being worn enough, beautiful as it is.

I wonder if all of us start thinking same way, this otherwise beautiful piece would remain unsold for no fault of its own!

I’ve skipped. I’m looking at something else. It’s a shame as if it had been released in Q4 2018, I’d have probably picked one up. Also, Basel/2019 releases is just round the corner so need to look at that first.

It’s odd timing for it to finally be out.

Well, there was one in my AD window today. Looked lovely, but I was actually a little underwhelmed in the metal. The heavily aged dial just looked a bit at odds with the pristine brushed and polished case to me. If I got it I’d have to go out and scratch it up.

I’m also not 100% sure when I’d actually wear it in all honesty. It’s really well priced, but currently not for me - that said, it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve changed my mind.

The same AD had a green Oris Aquis in the case. Tried that on too. Lot of bang for the buck as well and certainly flashy.

Well, I slept on it and went to try on again. The AD is always good to me and let me wear for approx 1/2 hour and go outside with it. The more I wore it the more I liked it and it was supremely comfortable on the leather.

So I bought it (I did say I may change my mind). Got approx 20% off also so not a horrendous huge dent to the wallet. Very pleased. It will act as my suit watch in the short term. Even my wife likes it as she says it’s the perfect size for me.

The box is enormous. If truth be told, like the speedy, I’d have a normal box and £200 off. But it is what it is. I’ll check out the nato (1 piece, no under flap) later.

I tossed and turned on this one, decided not to pursue a month ago, and saw it in the metal yesterday. I was surprisingly underwhelmed. Just did not pop for me.

Fair enough - we all have different thoughts on these matters. It’s a great watch however. Doesn’t pop like a Rolex or decent omega, but it’s not supposed to. I’m looking forward to a couple of years down the road when the case patina matches the dial - then we will have a real winner!

lovely piece, I wish they'd done it in smaller 34-36mm for my tiny wrist. I believe the original is only 32mm.

That’s right. Personally I like the 38.5 size as it wears small enough for me. I guess they were trying to make it small enough to be small by today’s standards but big enough for 40mm merchants like me to enjoy still.
