I tried on the white dial model last night at my OB here in San Diego. It stopped me dead in my tracks when walking past it and looked even better on the wrist. Kicking myself for not taking a wrist shot.

I am torn between the white and grey dial. I do think the proportions on this new generation of modern Speedies looks better with the larger subdials. Very much looking forward to seeing these in the flesh. @Bushido I can understand your reasoning, but if you really want that Daytona 116500LN, you will probably end up with two white dial watches...or perhaps a white dial Omega and a black dial Daytona馃榾
The white dial is by far and away the most attractive. I compared the white dial to the grey last night my my OB and there was no contest. The white dial version is the ONLY way to go IMO.

Did you see the two-tone grey dial or the grey dial with orange accents? So far I have only seen the grey/silver with orange accents.I agree the white dial wins easily against that variant, no contest.

I saw the grey dial with orange accents. The OB did not have the two-tone grey model. I also saw the black with orange accents and black with white accents. The white dial was the show stopper.

I've been staring at pics of the various color schemes unveiled. That white dial keeps grabbing me! I've been wanting a white dial watch for a while now. What I had picked, and have been waiting and waiting on, is the white dial Daytona C. Prices are still pretty silly and AD allocation where I am is glacial slow. Staring at this Omega has me starting to lean towards feeling lucky the 116500 hasn't arrived as this might be a preferred option for me personally! Pricing seems pretty good for what's inside this beauty too!!

This is the one I'd go for.

Agreed, based on the versions I have seen so far...

However, I would only choose the white dial Racing if I could not find any trace of a white dial LN Daytona crush simmering in my horological heart, which could lead to some expensive future flipping, especially if purchasing the Omega at retail and the Daytona at a premium.馃槈

The white one is beautiful indeed. How big did it feel on the wrist (not in terms of bezel size, but in terms of lug to lug height / length?) I read they have curved lugs like the PO's so am wondering if would be shorter than the Speedy professional, which is 48mm as shown below

My experience was that the lug-to-lug was not significantly longer than a Speedy Pro and similar to previous 9300 versions of the watch.

However, all white dials wear larger and when you add the fact that the lugs are polished and shiny, from an optical illusion POV it does seem to wear larger compared to a DSOTM (black dial, black lugs and black strap). In terms of wrist comfort I found it to be more comfortable than the new Speedy Moonphase MC, which certainly wears taller. FTR I only tried these on leather straps...have no idea what they are like on the the bracelets.

Not sure about this, but I wonder if the orange accents on the black dial version should have been a more discreet colour, as used on the Mk2. See comparison below:

Thanks. Having round wrists, my main focus is on length size as don't like watches that wear too big. 48mm is a big as would go, so that's why am wondering if they are longer or not. Hopefully they should be available at my OB soon so that can try them on!

I own a speedy pro and the new racing speedmaster def wears a bit larger than my 42mm speedy does. With that being said, it does not feel overly large lug to lug or in regards to the depth or height of the watch. A few days before trying on the new racing dial i tried on an IWC Big Pilot. At 46mm, the Big Pilot felt signifcantly larger than the new speedmaster racing edition. Hope that helps.

I found this wording to be peculiar. So, in other words, it's just a thinner crystal?

"The 44.25mm cases are thinner than previous versions thanks to the work done on the sapphire crystal."

Understand the shape of the sapphire caseback contributes to the thinner case, but probably some other small changes elsewhere contributes as well

When I tried the Racings live, they seemed "slimmer", certainly compared to the new Speedy Moonphase...but I did not have a DSOTM to compare to see if the Racing black dial versions actually wear bigger or smaller than a DSOTM form a visual perspective.

I think they have to be slimmer without the glass display back. Look at the bubble on the back of my Speedmaster Co-Axial.
I'm looking to replace this glass back with a metal one from a new Racing Speedy.

馃槻 Are you sure you've got it the right way up? Is that one or multiple Omegas you are wearing?

Sorry to disappoint, but the new Racing Speedy also has a glass exhibition case back...it does look slimmer in the photos below than the standard 9300, the crystal optimization might have led to the 50m waterproof depth rating. Not a big issue for me...if I were to purchase one of these I would certainly wear them on a strap.
