Ps: nothing 'new' here except for the reference numbers. Apologies if this has already been posted...

Thanks for posting. Hopefully the Metas certification process is flowing better this year and we won't have to wait till next year to see these watches in our local OBs, which was what happened with last year's Speedy Moonphase. RA apparently is aware of this and they are making an effort to speed up delivery after generating demand post Basel show.

The wallet would really appreciate this time to heal from the 'injuries' incurred in the choking session this year has turned out to be 馃榾 That said, it appears the watches from Baselworld are doing the rounds (not sure how many rounds and how far) ... will be able to try them on in 2 weeks on my side of the screen ...

Thanks for posting the catalogue page up @eugeneandresson. I'll look forward to jealously staring at your live pics in a couple of weeks!

@Riviera Paradise: That's a really good point about METAS certification slowing down allocation. One would hope that they've worked out the timeline and process at this point. Otherwise, it would have been silly for them to provide release dates for their Basel reveals this year. If memory serves, they did not offer release date info for the Moonphase at last years show?

I think Omega promised fall / Q3 for the moonphase last year.

Okay, that's ringing a bell. That seems to be about the time when I started getting updates from my AD on delays. Thanks for the reminder/clarification.

The white faced version on leather is stunning although I'd prefer a strap that goes up flush to the case

They do a black croc strap that has curved ends that fits the 44.25mm case on both the Aventurine and the steel 9300 so should fit this.

And if omega boutiques really were clammering after the ST for loyal customers I'd probably swap it for that white dial one (chance would be a fine thing).

Yes and they do a cordura strap as well that would fit? They mention the case has been altered I wonder if that affects the lugs? Are these 20mm width? (although some of the cordura strap go into the lugs and some don't)

I made a bid yesterday on a deep black PO but couldn't get agreement on the price which is making me look around for something else.

Should be 21mm I'd expect as per the other speedmasters of this case size. So all the various X side of the moon straps will also work.
I have to say I hoped I'd be grabbed by the deep black but when I saw it in person it was just too chunky sadly. These should wear well if they are a touch thinner as I think the original 44.25s wear thinner than they are anyway.

Just noticed it says further up in the brochure picture that the straps are 21mm lug and 18mm buckle

Thank you for the detail, yes my 9900 PO is huge! Could do with being 2-3mm slimmer.

Freeze frame taken from the Time&Tide video they posted on the Basel 2017 Omega releases. White dial with black strap looking good馃榾

Daytona white ceramic bezel below for comparison...and some fun::stirthepot::

Removing the Rolex status factor and resale value...just from a design perspective...which watch offers more appeal?
