Needs repair and some TLC but I think it will look nice after its cleaned! Consistent with the theme, it has a ghost bezel. Dial has a nice creamy patina and kinda looks like a tudor snowflake.

Nice watch, and an uncommon model.

Not really a "ghost" bezel; it's metal, and only the original black in the numbers has apparently faded away.

Cleaning it up shouldn't be a problem, but sourcing the correct stem and crown may be a challenge, and hopefully the movement is OK.

The dial feet are probably broken, that is why it has turned. Otherwise nice !

I watched this one go. Very tempting but was unsure of the size of the case. Didn't want another boy's size dive watch 😉
I'm 90% confident that it is only the stem / crown missing. Probably a mainstream movement. Only issue would be if you want a Mido signed crown or not.
If it turns out to be 38mm or larger case, I don't want to know. Don't need anything else keeping me up at night 😉

The fact that the date is in correct alignment with the dial would indicate that the dial is properly attached to the movement and that the whole movement has turned within the case - so @redpcar is almost certainly understating his %age.

Depending on how the movement should be secured in the case, it is possible that the case clamps/screws are either missing or not tightened, or that the retaining ring is missing.

The seller stated that the crown is gone, so my guess is the stem broke and the movement/dial together can rotate inside? I'm just shooting at the dark though...

I was hesitating a bit since the $$$ was quite high for what it is...

Yes, I think that is the most likely explanation for the rotation of the dial.

The crown is smaller than those typically found on dive watches, but it functions well.

and project completed! Hardest part was to source the aquadura stem (a couple tries that was off by a few mm) and crown... the movement was pristine and keeps time within 5 seconds per day! A very honest watch and a cool addition to the diver collection!

Fantastic job! It looks great but I think the chapter ring needs to be rotated as the lume dots do not line up with the hour markers. It is always satisfying to save a worthy watch. Thanks for posting the finished photos.

Ah thank you! I didn't even realize that...should be a simple fix so I would do it on my next trip... Thanks again for the sharp eyes!

Another surfaces...............

Can anyone confirm with advertisements that this was the bracelet offered and possibly be original to this model?

Nice example and has the original crown (which is the patented cork system). I don't know what the original bracelet looks like but that signed bracelet looks good on it.

I have seen period adverts with that bracelet - I can't remember for certain, but I believe it was on a Rainbow diver, so should be period correct. It is found on Multi-Centerchronos for sure.
