I'm moving house and so I have been going through old draws and having a general clear out. In one of the draws I have a box filled with bits and pieces that I have accumulated over the years and this watch was in a tangle of things that came as part of an auction lot some time ago. Its tiny, doesn't work and isn't my thing at all but it intrigued me enough to open it up and have a look at the movement and I believe i have an early Harwood watch in a silver case.

Nice find Dan, while it's not the more well known Harwood Automatic, it is a Harwood, although a "manual wind". A very interesting watch.

As @gatorcpa noted, John Harwood had a good working relationship with Fortis as well as A Schild.

I like it. That crown is intriguing. So thin.

Only used to set the hands Steve, so no force for fingers to act against. The only way to wind the mainspring is with wrist flexes.
