Sotherbys Australia has a BA145.022 up for auction on the 4th of December.They have followed the guarantee paperwork and listed it as a 345.022.If the serial matches with the watch all is fine.
Estimate is $30,000 to $50,000 Australian Dollars.
Not to many photos to make a good judgment of the condition.
I don't think the box is an original crater box but I have never seen one to make comment.
22% buyers premium plus 10% GST.
Whats your best estimate?

This watch just seems less cool ever since Omega re-issued it.
In my eyes the original has that history and connection to the astronauts.I see the new one as a homage to the real deal.

Let’s make that comparison a bit easier with some pictures of the Australian specimen.

Some first observations;
- In contrast to the HK one, the AU one does feature a DON...
- Indeed different crater boxes. The AU one seems to come with a ‘standard issue’ crater box.
- Both in the 28422xxx serial range, but still pretty far apart. Interesting!

A small addition for further reference; just saw this one at the Omega Museum. Seems like the HK one has the correct crater box, assuming the museum showcases theirs in an original.

The Australian watch result is Aus $79,300 converts to US $54,300 including buyers premium,add the 10% gst for a final sum of $59,703.
DON bezel,round O and incorrect box.
The HK watch went for $500,000 HK converts to $63,800 US.It's not clear on their web site if that is hammer price with buyers premium included.
DNN bezel oval O but correct box.
Both results are over their estimates.
