That’s the car that was at the Peterson. I forget the name of the owner of the collection (not Jerry).

it’s currently having its engine rebuilt by Porsche racing. I didn’t sit in it, but I did get up close and personal with it.

I don't have a favorite car in world, but if had to chose, this one would be on the short list.

I feel it is quite okay to say Chevy or Rolls, but using “bug” when referring to a Bugatti is a travesty🙁.

So calling the Talbot Lago just out of frame a Talb wouldn’t be ok ? 😉

I remember when Ferrari first launched the 612 Scaglietti in the mid 2000s everyone was joking that the nouveau riche would call theirs "Scag"

If I ever came into a very large sum of money, a CGT would be one of the 1st cars I'd buy.
After an F40 of course.

Just make sure it has fresh tires.

Pssh

(You know how Pagani uses Mercedes-Benz V12s? All you need to make an S600 / CL600 / SL600 or -65 AMG sound like one is a set of equal-length exhaust headers)

V12 in its natural environment. Those exhaust headers are sublime. I remember the Jaguar team racing these at Portland. The massive V12 looked like it made the car a handful to drive. Each car was differentiated by either neon green, or neon orange letters spelling out JAGUAR across the top of the windscreen. The drivers gloves were matching green or orange. Coming out of turn 12 and onto the straight you would get to see those gloves sawing away at the steering wheel. The smell and noise was incredible. 1990 was the first year I went to the 24 hours of Daytona and I still remember leaning on the fence above the banking, at 2 in the morning and having these cars go by at 200 mph literally 20 or less feet away. After the car went by, you would get pelted by track grit, surprised I didn’t go blind. The security guard would come by and tell us we had to sit down, but the minute he walked by, we were back at the fence.

Those are a LOT easier to get some serious noise out of, cause it's literally the Gallardo's V10 with just a slightly different tune.
