Father in law getting rid of his 997 finally.
I think he may end up listing it on BAT if anyone is interested (also probably ebay and localy).

Will come with all original (stock) parts as well as 2 other sets of wheels (OEM 5 spokes and a set of O.Z's).

Posting my 88 year old mother in a 1971 R107 Mercedes - in a pornography thread... might get me in trouble...
The extreme heat (for being in Sweden) made my mother want to take a trip in a convertible for the first time in her life.

I have never used the wind deflector earlier (it is ugly). It worked too well. We had to remove it to get some cool air around our heads.

Beautiful pictures and beautiful cars, if only they were as easy to store as watches.

What a cool story! Sometimes older folks become more willing to try things they wouldn't have just a few years earlier, almost like they gain their youth back, or at least that youthful ability to not give a $hit.

Also white over red is such a classic Benz pairing, mine says hi to it's younger, Swedish sibling!

I saw this on TV as a kid and never forgot it. Only recently happened across it again. The great David E. Davis and Malcolm Forbes even make appearances. Those in-car high-speed runs on narrow public roads are mesmerizing!

Not exactly pornographic. These are beautiful only in the eye of the drivers.
Buriton trials last Autumn. Focus is a bit off but you get the idea.

Can't say I'm a fan of the all black look but that interior in the 986 is awesome hah.

Apa Apa

Mb is mine, boxster is my sons ...
I love the SLK, I consider it the contemporary 190sl. Does this have the Kompressor? I had the W202 Kompressor and it was fun as hell so I could imagine a roadster with the same engine being a blast. A few members of the MB club here in town still daily their R170s.

I live in Detroit right by Woodward so I am becoming very very allergic to great cars and bikes and their very loud engines, and radios, and drivers. I just don't get why they cannot just drive them in some circuit and be a little bit more respectful of the rest of the world that just, doesn't care.

That said.Beautiful (and quiet) pictures!!

Not trying to be a smarta$$, but surely it's not a surprise that loud cars frequently populate Woodward Ave., one of the most iconic cruising streets in America? I used to live in Indianapolis for a time and locals knew you had to live many blocks away from IMS if you didn't want to hear race cars for several months each year, tho some people specifically chose to live close by explicitly to hear them.

Like! I used to marshal on 750MC Sporting Trials in the 1990s and drove my road car in Production Car Trials in the early 1970s. Until I graduated to a Cooper "S" that was the only thing my Mini Van was eligible for. It's a very friendly sport and sharing someone else's car as two entries was common.

Remember Colin Chapman's first two cars were built for Trials, and look what followed 😉

You are right, that’s why I mention Woodward. The cars are ok. The bikes are ok. The flaunting and decibel levels are obnoxious.
