From the extremely curvaceous folder

More curves will be revealed later, or sooner if someone identifies it.

I'll take a guess - Triumph TR2?

Nope, TR2 would be on British "standard" 15" diameter, single row 48 spokes, steel rims and two-eared knock-ons. Not have ventilation holes in the brake drums either. In the right decade though 👍

Think very much more curvaceous, and very very red.

Maybe one of the Ferrari 250/275 variants?

OK, all y'all have worked out the country of origin. But you are not thinking of the curves.

It isn't pretty, but Chevy may have finally produced a world class sports car.

The C5 Z06 was the first Corvette you didn't have to make excuses for and they got better from there, but this should be on an entirely different level.

Built on a DeLorean (Lotus) "backbone" chassis?

Hate to say it but that car does nothing for me.
I'd rather have a C6 Z06 than that.
And use the left over money for go fast parts.

Big question is how much does the Z51 package cost - under 60 for the base car is great, but base Corvettes haven't been so great lately. I'd also want to know about the mid-level interior - if a 2LT Z51 can come in under 70k, it's going to be the deal of the century IMO. And I don't care much for Corvettes (that aren't built by Pratt & Miller)

Possibly a "maintaining" device for plus-sized customers when carving left turns (for the driver, that is).

I was wondering the same.
Since no obvious grab handles on that side for the passenger, am assuming Chevy wants some audience particiaption? In corners passengers grab / mash a handful of those 'tunnel' buttons and the driver gets a nice surprise when the back end comes round to say hello.

Or the radio come on.
