Coming up for auction http://www.i-bidder.com/en-gb/aucti...um=email&utm_campaign=HandH&utm_content=image Interesting history ?
Soon after we re-launched Jeep in the UK in 1993, we also got an allocation of Vipers. We ran some events at race tracks to demonstrate the cars to our dealers and some press people. I took this pic at Oulton Park. Three Vipers, circulating nose to tail there, was quite a sight, (and sound)!
Alfa SZ engine bay. Still hear that sweet V6 in my mind's ear! (And for real when my son visits with his later-type 916 GTV 3.2 version.)
Not many lots sold at the H & H auction, including this XK150s.. Wonder if this is a post Brexit chill in the market?
After 2 Hours of OCD Style cleaning (apart from the Engine Bay). I Love the uni Black paint but you See every oh so little spot on it. Now she's ready for the sunday Cruise .
Don't get confused with the cylinder Head screws (5), there are only 4 spark plug wires . The car Is from 1959, 75 hp out of 1500ccm naturaly aspirated was considered quite enough back then .
I didn't know if candles was the right word It'as amazing how the power of engines increased. 75 HP looks so little today. It's a gorgeous car nonetheless.
75hp out of 1500cc was still okay in the eighties. my 1979 3300cc 6 cyl Ford only put out 90hp. now 70hp out of an 250cc Aprilia....thats friggin cool!
