Aw hell. Would've watched for sure if I'd known ahead of time!

(Which, there used to be articles on Jalopnik, The Drive etc all around how to watch the 24 Hours in the weeks ahead of the race, but no more. Really gone downhill, those)

I still "follow" Jalopnik on facebook and it seems as if every article (and I use that term loosely) they publish these days is just political.
I've found that Peacock is good for Indy and IMSA. But I don't think that is a secret.
I subscribe to the F1 TV app these days...so that's easy.

IMSA TV through the app or website and a VPN is the mostly commercial free ticket. Might need to clear the cookies, but I can usually get Proton VPN free version to hook into the Netherlands. Once in a while they put up a Dutch commercial.

Some people say it's better to know a person with a boat instead of owning a boat. That may be true for boats but isn't true for cars.

Some amazing cars at a picnic.

Toyota Cressida shooting brake.
Way back when I was working at Toyota dealerships these things were new, and they were referred to as station wagons by Toyota not shooting brakes. At least that was the case here in OZ.
They would often come into the workshop only running on 5 of the 6 cylinders, the reason for this was #1 sparkplug was such a bastard to get at being buried behind the air conditioning compressor that most mechanics wouldn't bother replacing #1 plug unless the engine was running rough.
I made a special tool to remove the plug without having to remove the compressor. but most were too lazy

Noosa Concours 2024, amazing show with an incredible crowd turnout, the entire beachfront was packed shoulder to shoulder to the extent that it was hard to take clear photos, I took a 105mm since I wanted to get some closeup shots but due to that crowd, closeup was about all I was able to do. Stunning cars, especially the Jaguars and Mercs.

Porschella show in Brooklyn this weekend. The good stuff, plus 3 brand new GT3RS and two Dakars. The GT3RS is not my kind of dream car but I have to say up close it is very nasty.

That last one was the most boring car there 馃榿

I live in Queens and it's totally fine.

This event took place in Industry City in Sunset Park, which are old factory buildings converted now to retail and office space. Admittedly the roads around there were really terrible

This more than anything lol. I've been gone for 10 years now but I still remember my first time on the BQE and surrounding areas...
It was like landmines had been set off. And the pot holes they attempted to fix they just filled in and created reverse pot holes.
Pot humps lol.

The major roadways are actually pretty decent these days. The area around Industry City is generally undeveloped waterfront, there are still some active warehouses and logistics centers there but it's otherwise a pretty new area for most people to be driving in. Given the luxury trappings there I'll bet the asphalt is glassy smooth before long

Porsche event this morning in Brisbane, Sony camera does a bit of weird warping due to its internal image stabilisation which is why some bits of the cars look wacky at times.

Here's a shot of my Panamera where I live in Eagle Rock. I'm still trying to get good with my Cannon.

It'd be helpful if some of you photofiles (is that a word?) could share your camera setup.
