I also like the cocky shit welding of the spring hangers………..it take great skill to get a cockatoo to shit with great precision like that!
And the perfect brushwork used in painting it……..Rembrandt has got nothing on this bloke!

2024 will mark half-a-century Lamborghini Countach production... but the Miura was the first supercar by the Italian factory in Bologna.
Superb cars and the eye lashes were a great "touch" to hide the fact these were standard FIAT headlights. Anyway I keep seeing an Alfa Romeo Montreal by Carrozzeria Bertone... if You know what I mean 😉

2024 will mark half-a-century Lamborghini Countach production... but the Miura was the first supercar by the Italian factory in Bologna.
Superb cars and the eye lashes were a great "touch" to hide the fact these were standard FIAT headlights. Anyway I keep seeing an Alfa Romeo Montreal by Carrozzeria Bertone... if You know what I mean 😉

How is it? I'm keeping my eye on those things....
As long as charging from home is possible, there is no reason not own one. Unless you are doing more than 150 miles a day or frequently take long trips. This is my wife’s 2021 and has 51000 miles.

Solid! Any issues?
I have a 50 mile (round trip - 90% highway) commute. I imagine I'd have the option to charge from home and/ or my office.
My car only gets driven to work and back during the week. Any "road trips" or weekend driving and we'd just take the wifes car. It has the car seats in it anyway.
I think I'm a good candidate for an EV. I'm just not sure I want to give up my ICE and 6 speed quite yet.
However I'm slowly being forced out of the manual transmission regardless. And even then, I've been considering making the switch to "automatic".
Like I said, I have a mostly highway commute but the few times I get to bang downshifts and rip it on the on/off ramp makes it worthwhile.
However sitting in stop and go traffic makes me ponder that....
I like the Rivian R1T. I like the Model 3 (I'd get a Performance) or an S. But I really like the Taycan Sport/Cross Turismo.

M70, a nice engine to work on, I owned many M20 powered BMWs and worked on one M70, it was just a nicer chain driven M20 paired with a second one on the same crank. Judging by the tight packaging around the scuttle it’s in an E31 too, I handled an E32 750il which had a bit more room. Really nice engine, they just want to run and any issues are super easy to diagnose and solve. The electrical systems on the E32 / E31 are a slightly different story but the engine was a peach.

Yes, an E31, here in my (private) workshop.

Beautiful color and very cool workshop setup. One of the other cool things with that engine, the E32 we were resurrecting had been sitting for several years with a full tank of gas. Obviously the petrol was garbage and on a nicer car like an E31 we would have drained the tank but this was a fairly tired E32 so we figured crank it and see what it does. Took about 10 minutes on and off cranking to get it running on enough cylinders to not stall, after a few more minutes it was running on all 12, I think these are rated for regular 91 octane (87 equivalent in the US) but it will run on any vaguely combustible sludge just fine so it’s always funny to hear people putting 98 in them thinking it’s a picky engine when it’s one of the most forgiving.
