I actually have a lot of respect for Kia and Hyundai in recent years, the Stinger is an absolute beast and there’s a lot about it that makes me think of the Alfa Giulia, I almost wish Kia / Hyundai would buy and save something like Alfa, Fiat or Maserati by giving them the reliable engineering and tech they sorely need while keeping the Italian flair. The Stellantis axis of unreliability really needs to be broken up and I’d love for the Koreans to do that the same way the Germans did to Bentley, Mini and Rolls.

I’ve been out of the fun driving car game for a while. I have my HCI supercharged fox body but rarely drive it. Currently drive a Tacoma but been itching for something fun and something that I would enjoy driving. Lately been paying attention to Kia. Test drove a Stinger GT and I had a HUGE grin across my face. Kia’s are very impressive. My half Korean side really wants the Stinger.

I'm a fan of the Koreans. In recent years they've made huge strides. I have the K5GT dct and its really impressive. Fwd capable of 4.8-4.9 secs 0-60.(with good summer tires) Looks, In and out are great. Only thing missing on this is awd. Equipped with tons of tech.

Here's some automotive porn for you. And its even vintage!😉

Maserati Sebring Series I 3500
Looks just like a Gordon Keeble, or a Gordon Keeble looks just like a Sebring. I have a feel the GK came first

At least Kia is out there trying stuff. Can't knock them for that.
The Stinger, the Telluride...that one above.
I give them props for trying to make affordable cars more fun and interesting.
It's not like Toyota, Honda or Nissan are really doing any favors to the car world currently...in my opinion at least.
I think the new Supra was sort of a bust. Honda is not really giving us anything new. I am though looking forward to the new Z though.

This is a really interesting idea, though it'd be tough not to iron out all of the character. As nice as the Stinger is, it's still not much once the road gets twisty - despite its head engineer having been poached from BMW M - and not modern brand-engineering M, but back when they still made interesting cars. The new Hyundai N and N-Line models are pretty capable though so maybe they'll spice up some Kias for the next go-round...

Eh. Electric cars and especially crossovers aren't really interesting

I'm fortunate enough to live in a city where a car is absolutely unnecessary, and so for me "car as toy" reigns. So commuter vehicles like the ones above just don't cut it 😉 I'm looking forward instead to hearing more about the Elantra N-Line and such (strictly speaking about Hyundai-Kia products)

Yeah but when they race and beat most exotic cars... It gets interesting. Lol.

The new veloster n line is interesting but I'm into bigger cars. Hence why I got the K5GT 2.5T dct.
The stinger is interesting but I'll wait till my lease is up.

Maybe on a dragstrip, but you don't need an exotic or even a slightly sporty car to absolutely destroy an electric car in a race - from New York to Toronto.

One of the reasons I keep a car despite living in a city is so I can go on impromptu weekend trips... and I'd rather not spend half my weekend staying in roadside motels or eating at chain restaurants, if you catch my drift.

I've wondered how a Model 3 would do with a "proper" suspension set up.
Stiffer spring/damper, stiffer roll bars and maybe a little additional bracing....
An AWD version with the above and some sticky tires may actually be ok lol.

Absolutely get you. I'm not a huge fan of Ev cars but some are ridiculously fast.

I think that'll come in due time.
That being said, I'm impatiently waiting for mods to come out for mine. Too new so I have to wait. Especially I have one of 2 sold in canada(back in February). Oh well, good thing I have watches to kill time lol.
