Spotted in the wild last summer, "Hertz" Shelby G.T. 350.....I had a '65 fastback in 1977, regrettably not of the G.T. 350 variety.

The E9 has always been one of the most photogenic cars ever, and stands as a reminder to today's (possibly inebriated?) stylists in Munich of how a full frontal should look!

Amen.

Little shot I took a few years back.

BMW makes boring-ass cars (and mostly crossovers) nowadays, so I guess their designers needed to find a way to get them into the conversation somehow, beyond "it drives worse than the old one"

I didn’t choose the German car life, the German car life chose me.

See the advanced Bavarian oil level indicator system pisses oil on the garage floor to let you know zee engine still has some oil in it. Technology stolen from British Leyland for no good reason.

But as always it is thirsty for more.

Tommi slinging the Lancer around a hairpin at Acropolis. My absolute favorite of the Group A cars.

I appreciate that pornography may result in emissions, but that's ridiculous!

More conventional stimulus:

In Newmarket? That's just 13 miles from me.
Newmarket is pretty good for exotica spotting, at one end of the horse racing industry there's a lot of money swilling about. At the other end it's rusty bicycles with the brakes disconnected 😲

BC I used to regularly see a GT40 from a distance in one village and assumed it was a replica, but I had had a look into the cockpit of this one and if it's a replica it's a damn good one. The passenger was very concerned that I didn't show the registration which makes me suspect that it was real and with the ease of finding registered addresses was worrying about it being stolen. About 30 years ago the secretary of the Bugatti Owners Club lived within 13 miles of Newmarket and by invitation I had a look around his garages -- fantastic! The Ferrari 308 photographed a month ago lives a 10 minute walk from me I found out later.

My ‘mercan car likes to remind me that the transmission has fluid...

Don't you go taking that anywhere near the Suez Canal!
