Authenticity check? Constellation C case

First. I know this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. But it is mine.

I’m already 99% sure the indices are aftermarket. Probably had stick dials and got them replaced with these at some point.

but other than the diamonds, Is it all looking right? Is it all authentic and original other than diamonds? Or is the face completely different too? Or is it fake all together? Idk. Lmk if you guys notice anything worth mentioning.

thank you for the expertise.

I think the watch is not fake. The diamonds may even be factory, idk. Dial fonts look original.

Authentic, I've seen 2+ on eBay - nice to see a fluorescence shot on diamonds

Not a demanded model though, as valuable as a bracelet if you can believe it, I regret not getting the last one

as valuable as what bracelet?
The bracelet on the watch? Or a diamond bracelet?

I think he means the watch is worth about $300 just like a bracelet by itself.

The gold melt value would be on top of that. Disclaimer I am no expert.

I’m confused. Is it a gold watch? It says gold filled on the back but the back isn’t steel. And I’m assuming no observatory because it’s not a chronometer?

Appears to be gold filled. No reason to doubt the engraving.

The diamonds are more my worry. That’s why I was curious if the face looked authentic. And if everything else looked authentic/original.

it has that eBay authenticity guarantee. But I doubt they check stones.

other guy said it’s worth about as much as a bracelet.
Is that true ? The guy wants 2000 for it.

I know it’s not an exceptionally great condition or wanted model. But I figured diamonds and gold would be worth something.

The case is gold filled not solid, the movement quartz, possibly knackered and the dial just plain not very nice. I wouldn't give you $100 for that, it's junk. The only saving grace will be if the bracelet is solid gold but even if so, it will be worth scrap value only. I mean seriously, what makes you think it is worth 4 figures? The diamonds? Those add about $20.

I don’t know watch values, that’s why I’m asking. I like the way it looks.
I’m not the seller.

Yea it doesn't have much going for it value wise. If the seller is at $2k it's unlikely that he'll come down to meet you anywhere reasonable. Best to pass and look for something else IMO.

You have received several great responses to this on value. The asking price is one helluva hard pass from me.

However, this is your second thread on this piece
https://omegaforums.net/threads/you-ever-seen-one-of-these.160615/
so you have obviously been pining over it for some time now. Despite having several great input on value, you seem keen to know if 2k is worth it… if you have 2k to throw away, who are we to stop you? Just know, it’s unlikely you’ll ever get that back. Whether you resell it or scrap it.

okay detective. My first post weeks ago was about authenticity.

didn’t really get any replies worth a grain of salt on that one.

so I basically just brought it back to life, giving more info and hoping for more answers

The watch is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. If you're willing to pay $2000, then that's its value. If you think $2000 is too much, but you're willing to pay $1500, then that's its value.

As you've no doubt noticed, for most of the forum members the value is considerably less than those figures. But so what? If you like it and you have the funds, buy it and enjoy it.

I’m not worried about resale value or anything.
Just want to be sure I’m not buying some hodgepodge watch someone put together.

wanna be sure it’s authentic and everything looks good on it.

cause it seems there is a endless almost of configurations even with where the words are placed on the face.

the diamonds I take at face value. Although I do wish someone would be able to tell if they are original or aftermarket.
