April 11, 1970... Apollo 13 CMP John "Jack" Swigert suits up for launch and wore a Rolex GMT underneath the forearm underwear of the A7L spacesuit... Note the patch on his suit, so an actual launch day photograph!
IMHO he was the first to take a Rolex wrist watch into lunar orbit 馃憤

April 18, 1970... President Richard Nixon presented the Apollo 13 crew with the Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honour during ceremonies the day after splashdown on the island Hawaii. Note Jack Swigert was wearing an Omega Speedmaster on his right wrist and his Rolex GMT on the left wrist.

April 1970... astronaut Charlie Duke, Apollo 13 Backup Lunar Module Pilot, got infected by his children with German measles...
Both prime & backup crew got exposed and as Apollo 13's original Command Module Pilot Ken Mattingly was not immune, he was hastily replaced by astronaut Jack Swigert... Three days before the planned launch, so no time for a new WSS - White Space Suit crew photo but a crew photo in civilian clothes... Jack Swigert clearly wore a Rolex GMT wrist watch...

Not only astronauts... also cosmonauts !
April 1971... cosmonaut Vladimir Shatalov wore a Rolex wrist watch during training for the Soyuz 10 mission...
1973 NASA photos taken during the training for the ASTP - Apollo-Soyuz Test Project mission show Shatalov still wearing his Rolex 馃憤

Am I seeing a chocolate dial and bezel or is it an illusion caused by a faded image? looks to be a Gold case and bracelet. If so he was really styling and profiling.

February 1971, the Apollo 14 crew has been recovered by the USS New Orleans in the South Pacific Ocean...
The crew in the MQF - Mobile Quarantine Facility with CMP Stuart Roosa on the left wearing his Omega Speedmaster at the right wrist but LMP Edgar Mitchell on the right was clearly sporting a Rolex GMT 1675 of which the Pepsi bezel colours speak for themselves !

What's an Invicta, some sort of Moped?
Or perhaps an electric razor?
cheap watch that basically copies popular brands and charges large amounts of money for watches then has them always on heavy discount... goggle it

Follow-up on my earlier post about William "Pete" Knight's X-15 missions... in the white ablative coating he set the speed record Mach 6.7
On October 17, 1967 he took an X-15 above 85000 meters ( 50 miles ) which was considered space for the USAF , earning him USAF astronaut wings. So we could consider this as Pete Knight wearing the first Rolex to reach " space " ?
( although FAI still considers the Karman line at 100 Km as the space boundary ).
