Up for sale from my private collection is this very nice
early "Art Deco" Longines wristwatch that was sold to the Longines agent in France in 1920

Longines cal.
12.84N Edit: =11.84N

Overall
- serial no. 3.638.383 dates back to 1920 (confirmed by Longines Archives)
- cal. 12.84N
- original dial
- rectangular solid silver case
- original handset with original lume
- High quality Alligator leather strap
- generic buckle
- Longines Extract from the Archives

Dial and Hands
Original dial and hands with intact original lume. Incredibly well preserved for it's age.

Case
Original solid silver case with wired lugs. Excellent condition. Large rectangular size at 27 x 27 mm (without crown)

Movement
Longines in-house manual caliber ref. 12.84N. EDIT: =11.84N. Very clean and well preserved. The watch winds and sets very smooth and the movement is running strong. No information about service history

Please take a look at the pictures as they are considered as part of the description. No returns, unless the condition of the watch is grossly misrepresented.

Neat watch, but I think that Longines made a mistake as the movement is surely a caliber 11.84N.

It must have been a simple typographical error, cuz I don’t think there ever even was a Longines cal. 12.84N... it certainly was not referenced by Linder.

Beautiful watch, however!

Hey guys, fully right it's an 11.84N. Which is also stated on the archive extract if I am not mistaken. If I only knew whrere I put it... 😕 Will show a picture as soon I have found it. Happy Easter!

I found the Extract from the Archive! While checking I noticed it is also stating cal. 12.84N instead of 11.84N. Wondering, if this can really be just a simple typo, I contacted the excellent Longines Brand Heritage Department. Once more Ms Bochud promptly answered my request. What an outstanding service!
