Hello everybody,
a friend just sent me this watch knowing I'm fond of vintage Longines. I personally find it very beautiful: 35 mm, silver case, fancy Art Deco lugs, movement is 13.34 and works perfectly. Serials of both case and movement (that are not the same but just a few hundreds thousands different) date it back to 1928.
I've never seen it, did you? What do you think about this watch? I would love to find some evidence...

Dial is rubbish and I don't think it's a 1928s case.

I agree on the dial, but how it would be in reality? Caseback is Efco Longines and pretty clearly reads 4.330xxx, so I think it's 1928, no?

 

The thing is, if would look for the right dial, how it could be?

 

Wonder about those lugs. Regarding several catalogue examples from these years there are no cases looking like that. Dials with breguet numerals are possible around 1930. But look at those sub second area for example, it's a no go, also Longines font is worse, not readable.

It’s a complete franken, the style of the case is late 40s to 1950s. The style of the dial is 1930s.
