Someone's been busy while recuperating! 馃槈

I see you manage to hunt down a RG Flagship - Is it a 34X inside?

After reading @dsio's review of the Seamaster 300, I bought one from watchco last year, head only. As of late I felt something was missing, so the mesh arrived today. Bit expensive compared to some of the mesh bracelets available but after putting it on my wrist the first time 2 min ago... Worth every penny 馃榾馃グ

Everytime I see one the mesh bracelet I start telling myself I need one. This might have been the tipping point for me. Looks great!

I concur about buying things two at a time. Just did this:

There's something I can't resist about crummy photos from Spain.

UPDATE: Just got this photo of the black one in an IM from my watchmaker with the message "I think I can fix it." That almost always means he can fix it. He quoted me the usual price for a service. So far so good. 馃榾

In the background are bits of my Angelus Chronodato, which he has just reassembled. I'm beginning to think that I am, quite literally, his patron.

That's a great example. I'm surprised someone didn't snatch it up soon. Nice catch!

Nothing to do with watches but I bought a waterproof iPod for swimming on eBay today. Free delivery with an expected delivery date of 5th February, pretty standard.

Anyway, I bought it at 2:40pm and at 3:27pm the doorbell rang and it was delivered by courier, a full 47 minutes after ordering. Has anyone heard of such a thing? I'm absolutely blown away by that service.

I wish the watches I buy would turn up that fast 馃榾

I meant to ask; how is he getting on with the Bentley you have bought him?

Damn near true, I think! I noticed a late-model Mercedes key fob on his bench yesterday, and I'm pretty sure I'm making the payments.

Tissot Seastar Manuel Wind

Latest addition - a Tissot Seastar with, apparently, manuel winding. Just bought it from a thrift store and it fired up immediately. A very honest, used example I feel and actually very modern in size. I know it isn't a LeCoultre Deep Sea Alarm, but for $3 I'm very, very chuffed 馃榿

Oddly enough, I recently purchased this from another nearby thrift store:

Tissot Seastar Automatic

I guess they are from roughly the same time, so there must have been a Tissot store in the area then.

As a Tissot collector, I love this. Great finds and excited to see you picking them up the best way...on the cheap!

Cheers 馃榾

As I said, I'm really happy with these finds, and would love to learn more about them. I guess that the Seastar line is very much like the Omega Seamaster line, with a variety of models ranging from slightly dressy to full tool?
