Picked picked up my first-ever Speedy (current Pro 005) from an excellent seller here -- though research trip means we don't get to meet until end of the week. Really looking forward to it, though I now have to move the Chrono currently occupying its space in the watch box.

Congrats! Was watching that one from the start. The dial is really hard to capture in a picture but looks great in real life. Here's my PG capped:

Just arrived today, a Nivada earliest „pre Chronomaster CASD“ from ca. 1961 with radium dial and hands, called the „pre Chronomaster“.
Featured by a Venus 210 movement and all original Parts.

The dial and hands made it for me

Congrats and welcome to the forum!
Is this for daily wear or only for dressing up?

Daily. Business and play.

Next watch planned for purchase, after I sell my Grand Seiko, is a two-tone Sedna Gold and Black Seamaster on rubber (with a Omega leather NATO as a change up). For formal occasions, which really happens maybe 5 or 6 times a year (mainly the Opera and the Holidays), I bought a tiny 28mm Santos-Dumont in steel. Never thought I like a watch that small, but it works well for its intended purposed. It's kinda cool, like the small watches you see Clark Gable and Humphrey Bogart wear in old-timey Hollywood photos.

Had been looking for something to replace the SubC that now belongs to Mrs. Darlinboy🥰.

A lucky find @ < 1/3 retail & barely worn. Naturally it arrived the day I left town for a quick trip, but the aforementioned 🥰 was kind enough to make sure all was in good order.

I only hope it’s still mine when I get home. 😜

Well, Mrs. Darlinboy 🥰 didn’t get it, but after a few days of wear - swing and a miss. Like the look, but wears far too big and thick for my taste so... gone gone gone.:whipped:

And this just in...

Looks great on your wrist.👍 I went to an AD last week to try a LE Speedy on, and tried the Seamaster 300 57' too. Now I have to buy it too.::facepalm1:: It wears great and I love the look.🥰

Needs a new crystal, and the case is showing its 55 years, but looks better on than in the photos and runs well so, fingers crossed

Easily my favourite acquisition of the past whenever. Absolutely love mine.

And this, which I've finally come home to and (mostly) opened up...

The dial is an] uber rare „Double Swiss“ dial, see page 170/171 in the Chronomaster Only bible.
