1958 23 Jewel Bulova Beau Brommell , $175-off the ‘Bay ....I like the 10k white gold case w it’s cut-out lugs and warm dial. ..Being a NYer I dig the period correct caseback .it’s interesting that Bulova made so many different designs of this 23.
lol @ seachero That’s a new one for me and I like it! BTW - great looking watch - the lume = very aesthetically pleasing
$125 for a watch in 1957 was pretty serious money. Something like $1250 in today’s money. Roughly the same price as a Rolex at the time. That’s a serious hi-grade movement. I grab one of these late 50’s / early 60’s Bulovas each time I come across what I feel is a good deal. Purchased this one fairly recently for literally a dollar or two over melt value and it’s beautiful. It’s never been serviced but it keeps perfect time at high amplitude. Like I wrote: top notch movements.
Got this one 2 day's ago at auction An uncommon reference, ref. 2705, cal. 266 from ca. 1954, with patina and teardrop lugs
Nice ones! I've just posted a Sportsmatic for sale here on OF - anyone feeling like adding 25 jewels to their life should check it out when it goes live
Found a panda dial I really like.. still hoping for a Hammie or a Heuer someday. ..but this should do for now: Who knows, once in hand and on wrist, I might just end up totally satisfied!
Had to post pic as it is only NOS stretch link bracelet I've had. Is there a bracelet show/tell/ask section? 506 ends
