Got these two from a dealer at an indoor "flea market" (mostly semi-pro stalls) today. Looked at the tank a year ago at the same guy and always regretted not getting it then - happy to have it now 😀

I absolutely love that exploding dial!

I just got one like it, but after not checking it carefully enough, discovered that it is really only good for my completely dead watches drawer

Nice Certina! I picked up a DS-1 recently too - case is in decent shape but I need to clean up the dial/hands on mine (not sure if my hands are original?). Should I use the lemon juice method on this one, or what do you guys suggest?

Leave the dial as is: the hands appear original (possibly relumed) and I have seen that style on other Certinas before...

So I guess this is what happens when a UG guy buys his first ever Rolex....1979 Datejust 16014, glossy black dial, on a later jubilee bracelet. 😀

I owned up to 3 Carreras at a point, which I all sold to fund speedmasters. Although i loved all of my Carreras, my grail always has been the 2447N. Well, yesterday I bought one, because prices have lowered a bit, and this is the best condition Carrera I’ve ever seen 🥰👍

Most go after the pandas and the tachy dials, but for me the first execution 2447N is the best design of them all. Lovely example and congratulations!

Thank you very much ! I have to agree with you on this.

Another rough Seiko, this time a 6458, mid size (36mm) diver, from '81. Works great now it has a new battery but has had a hard life.
