Just pick up my SpeedyTuesday Ultraman today :cool:

I saw this VC catalogue at the AD where I picked up my Ultraman. Since I also own a Patrimony, I asked if I can take one. It's pretty amazing catalogue! I wonder if Patek also print their catalogue as well.

Just received this Ming 17.01 with anthracite Dial a few days ago.
    1st generation piece from Ming.watch #149/150 limited.
Really cool watch company and already up for a GPHG award for their new Ming 19.01, after only being established for a year.

I’ve wondered into the independent watchmakers arena.
    What do you think?

Oops...apologies for the poor lighting. Yes, definitely metal, painted with Matt Superluminova, to match a ‘fine texture look’ to match the hour markers/ring.

Nothing fancy..but this hunk of steel turned up today..The final piece in my small "Orator-through-the-decades" collection and the only one I have with this day/date configuration. Not a style or an era that is everybody's cup of tea. Those ubiquitous black hands do annoy a wee bit... however It's in great nick ...

Bought this one from Alex ( Vision Vintage Watches ) recently.

I am (partially) aware of his history here, nevertheless I think it’s fair to share my own feedback since it's been the very first time I dealt with this dealer and honestly I am more than happy about the overall experience. Delivered as described, very good communication all along, I can only recommend.

    Nice to hear!
    And lovely watch! Congrats! :)
Recently bought from the same guy and even though it was not terrible, I will think twice before doing it again...
Lot of small things that was not as described.

Have a look at some of his eBay auctions - or more precisely, have a look at some of the bidding history on the items he sells...
Also, he was banned here for some dodgy practises.

Wouldn't touch him with a ten feet pole and falls into the same category as our mate from Austria and the paperclip bandit. Pollutes the hobby.

Ok, that’s your opinion mate, I don’t agree tho , as I said have done a tons of deals with him never had any problems..
A lot of dealers have bad deals and can be “bullshited” with lies even if they haven’t done anything wrong,
I can tell you about every deal that he made just can tell you about my experience!

Is this what you suspect is happening here?

Who's the chap from Australia? Obviously I know who Alex and Mr Paperclip are (and not forgetting the lad who knew zero about vintage watches but set up a huge website to sell his portfolio)

Hard to square your comments with the bolded part. "Sharing your experience" and claiming he is "legit and 100% trustworthy" are not the same thing. If you think he is 100% trustworthy, logically you'd believe someone who claims impropriety is... Lying.(?)

Don’t really need to explain myself , that’s my experience and my conclusion, can’t talk for anyone else...

Found this today after a long dry streak. A Vanburen cushion case from the 30's. Nothing valuable or fancy. But, it scratched the itch for today and over 5 hours in, it is keeping perfect time. The story of the purchase is on WRUW Today thread.

I’ve always wanted to own one of the Type 20 or 21 references.
