Thought I should mention that there are a number of pre WW2 manufacture Seikoshan Trench Watches showing up on Ebay. Bidding was still very low last time I looked. A Seiko lover may wish to check these out. Most appear to be in great condition.

Just receive back today my ST 68 form OMEGA serviced in 10 days , Omega made a full service on the movement , asked not to polish the watch, keep the hands , keep the crown , keep the Dial , added a 1039 sold by mr.yossarian and voila .
A pretty decent model. Not abused in good shape keeping the patina, ready to rock.

Finally managed to pick up my Dugena from @JimJupiter today. What a lovely chrono!

Very nicely designed dial. Everything clearly marked and easily visible. One of the best dials I've seen.

Thanks. I was drawn to the dial for those reasons, and for the cool blue/orange/silvery white colour combination as well. I've been wearing it since I picked it up and I suspect it will see a lot of wrist time!

I also managed to pick up a multi-categorical first for me today:
- first eBay used watch I've won in an auction (and overpaid I'm sure)
- first watch purchased while on crappy airplane wifi over the Atlantic (I'm not a sophisticated bidder capable of last minute 'sniper' action)
- first watch I've had to get a new crystal and service for before being wearable
- and finally, my first ever TGDW (and judging by it's lack of wrist presence, will be my last, at least in this category... although I suspect my daughter might enjoy this one)

Measuring a whopping 22 by 34mm, I was drawn in by the dial on this one (and aided heavily by generous helpings of champagne, red wine and sleep deprivation..)

Yes, that's a stunner. Lovely blue dial. The strap and its stitching Compliment the watch dial very well IMHO.

I was captivated by it the first time I saw it listed. I was shocked to break my normal watch buying paradox on this one...

Well of course it is, it's a Heuer 😉

Now received and it looks unworn. Genuinely 'mint' and from the original guarantee and engraved sentiment, a 1973 Christmas present.

I’ve realised that I’m attracted to (and collecting) dress watches with batons rather than numbers and, more recently, watches without date windows so that I avoid the hassle of re-setting the date when I rotate them.
