True. If you want to hear a 'no' just ask to buy the Centenary or Conquest. 馃榿

Tony, is that a 34mm?

You find the neatest watches.

Thanks Adam! 33mm, but it is a fairly substantial case, and wears a touch larger.

I like those little Mido's. But this one is even littler... maybe 31 mm... so I've ceded it to my daughter. She says she'll take all my too-dainty men's watches. 馃榾

Nice piece, thankfully it's an auto. If your daughter is anything like mine winding a watch is just something they do not do 馃槙

Well "Luxe" and "Super-" are the sort of compensation mechanisms a 31 mm watch will employ.

Well,
Horological fasting is more difficult than I thought. I only can hold for 3 months from my intended 6 months.
.....and these two are the reason why.......

Speedmaster Mark 3 Caliber 1040 in nice condition

Pink gold Connie Grand Luxe OT 2930 Caliber 505. Wrong second hand and crown, but otherwise a very nice lightly polished specimen.

I found them locally from a friend info, drive to his home about 150 km away and once see these two beauties 馃グ (especially the pink GL) I knew I had to bring them home. Yesterday they happily joined my collection 馃ぉ.

So forgive my weak heart that could not resist this temptation and stick with my horological fasting resolution 馃槦 .

Okay, technically I didn't buy this today - but I received it.

Yes, it has some goo on the dial. However, it's in working order and I didn't have a stainless JLC in the box. This gives me the missing stainless case to go with a 14ct yellow gold LC Powermatic, an 18ct red gold JLC, and 18ct yellow gold JLC. Plus, after seeing THIS POST I wanted to see if Steve was up for a challenge. (He is, and I'll do a Before & After thread.)

So until I decide to sell the 14ct Memovox I can go double barrel JLC alarm watch! 馃槣

No, it's stil there. You can see it in the photos of the dial, and he does say that it's hidden once the watch is assembled.

馃槣 I just don't like the way they sit on my wrist. I appreciate the watch and it's history though.

A 1994 JLC catalog and pricelist popped up on the 'Bay. Bought it just because I wanted a good look at a correct version of this watch:

I think '94 was the year they issued this, and might be the only year they made them. Actually, I want to see some of the Reversos available back then too.

It's also in the 1991 catalogue Dennis, on pages 80-81 (see price list below in 拢stg).

Is your catalogue a 93/94 or a 94/95 ? If it's 94/95 then I'm calling dibs !

Must not be the model I was thinking of then.

I'll let you know when it arrives.
