A 'spree' continues. I found this on the 'bay:

I love the way Movado writes out the whole name 'Switzerland', on some of their vintage ones.

Let me know when you're going to crack open the Nuits Dennis. I'll pop round to help you with it - I'll bring the steaks.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. The '97 Potel Clos de la Roche is coming first though. After the experience with the '93 Ponsot Clos de la Roche, I wanted to try another Grand Cru from the same vineyard. Got my fingers crossed as there are no Burgundies at all at my house currently, and it would be nice to have at least one Grand Cru and one Premier Cru on the rack.

I do admire you will power. I was saving a couple of bottles of '85 Lafitte (that I bought as soon as they were bottled) for the millennium, but in 1998, I had a really bad day and necked them both with a pepperoni pizza. They were sublime and such was the remorse that I had to celebrate that momentous occasion on a beach in Barbados

I finaly managed to get a Connie to complement my Omega collection, it is a Gold Cap model from 1966 with a 561 movement. I went against recommended practice of " get high definition pictures and ask to see the movement". The pictures were not at all good, and the seller said that he had no means of opening the back. I'm sure this put off a few folk, but luckily my offer was accepted and it turned out well. I did know that the crown was incorrect when I bought it. After a couple of small adjustments it is holding 0 to +2 seconds on the timegrapher.

Here are some pictures I have just taken. 1.jpg

    Nice pickup!!! Japanese seller, yes?

I wanted your watch badly but I promised my honey that I'd stop buying 'em by the handful. It seems to rain when it pours, right? lol

I followed your auction - you did really well!! (IMHO).

The Multichron Pilot is far up the food chain of collectible Gallet. It's a really good looking watch.

    Congrats!

Thanks for that. It's a 168.004, here's another photo. What would be the correct crown for the watch? 5.jpg
