Hopefully will have this beast on Monday, at which point I think ill on trade it for another Omega, maybe a po or tade up to a Seamaster 300 master chronometer, or something vintage, like a 302trg...

Seriously tempting, but probably a bit beyond me at the mo, given my aquisistiveness over the last few months ...
Stunning watches though ... Almost like the perfect mesh of the vintage sm300 and a modern po ...

OK, didn't exactly buy, but been away at our favourite Canadian watch maker for a while and so feels like a completely new set of watches:

First off, went away as a 3313B powered Speedmaster. Came back as a 3313C and is now a proper 3 level coaxial with as an added bonus hour and minute hands that match up and aren't 15 mins out as it came from Omega:

Second, a watch that was bought from an ex forum member as serviced, and so badly wasn't we wound up needing a new donor movement. The interesting patina that drove my purchase seems to come from a case that has so little water resistance Al has suggested I don't think about wearing it when it's humid. Question is, do I now hunt down a donor case - any advice? Its fingerprints on the current case, not scratches.

Next a Tudor that needed a service badly, and the repairs to a previous bodged case refinish even worse:

And finally another connie that I was worried wasn't quite right, but has had a full health check:

They all arrived from Canada in less than 18 hours ticking away merrily. Now I have the satisfaction of a display case that looks more balanced and the agony of deciding which watch to wear....

I swear I polished them five minutes before taking the photos. I have no idea how I got so much dust and fingerprints on them in the intervening period.
