Picked up two beauties today from Chris (Christos71), right here in the incredible, edible, Ω-Forum Sales thread! I couldn't resist this Connie, for a number of reasons: 1) Connie's are incredible 2) I love its patina 3) It was born same year as me, it's rather old... 4) It's a rare reference/caliber combo. Here's Desmonds blurb about it: http://omega-constellation-collecto.../omega-constellation-black-sheep-returns.html
Here's what else I got today from Chris (his pic): Coolness of this one is: 1) I love bumper movements. 2) the patina, and the radium burn (it's radio-active!) from some years of inactivity in the past (see pic below). Makes me wonder where the other hand was when that happened! 3) it's older than me!
A couple of pictures from @Sergio Maclean that i liked from hes website. He even put up with my out of the norm requests for photos and mounting
Thank you!! should be down there by Friday...longest trip one of my prints has ever made outside of the CyberSpace!!
Ooops I did it again... My love for old Certina never fades, and when they get as quirky and funky as this one I had to make a bid. Basically Certina´s take on the Speedsonic Chroograph. Note: The figure 6 in the day/date aperture is not the month. Its the day of the week. Only made in 1975/76. Certina Chronolympic C-Tronic ref 749 3754 41. Caliber ESA9210/Certina 749. It will fit well in the box next to its Omega Speedsonic cousin.
Looks great! As I expected it would given your discerning eye.[emoji6] The bracelet is a nice bonus. The "01" reference indicates it came on leather (shark) with deployant clasp. And FWIW, I believe the 01's were produced in smaller numbers. I put the original strap aside, and have mine on a Hirsh Jumper that is a near twin. I've been debating picking up a bracelet while they're still around, though I am not a huge fan of the style. Looks better on leather IMO.
Always happy to enable. The vivid colors are definitely the big draw here. The flyback feature is just a cool bonus.
The one in the background (barely seen) is even nicer (16 footer); the one in the foreground is a 14 footer.
Just discovered this one today in the listings of one of my favorite online dealers and pounced on it. It's a large, all-original '20s solid 14K white gold Tiffany/Longines with matching gold bonklip-style bracelet. It had apparently been in the private collection of a "famous surgeon", whoever that may be...I don't think he wore it in the OR at least.
