Not stocking up on anything. There are millions of ways to die. Covid-19 is just one of them. People are just afraid of it because it's new but they will soon get used to the idea that this virus lives among us.
That's your choice. I'm guessing you don't have kids, or at least no kids at home. You look at this a bit differently when you do.

So far, the data suggests that the ones to worry about the most with this virus, by far, are their grandparents and/or relatives with significant underlying health issues.

My financial advisor reminded me that we moved to defense in anticipation ... storm sails are set.

I have trees full of squirrels and a pond full of fish. A little chlorine in the water, let it settle out and filter it. Good for flushing, bathing and drinking after boiled.

Live in cyclone prone area so always have supplies
@JimInOz will understand the term “Darwin Prepper”

Would rather be a "Darwin Prepper" than "Darwin Award Winner".

I'm guessing the Great Northern is for drinking and the XXXX is for if you need to flush the toilet when the plumbing stops?

Yep. Toilet paper, canned goods, medicine (ibuprofen, nyquil/dayquil tablets), soap, rubbing alcohol, boxed milk, cleaning supplies.

I'm not a "crazy prepper" but I do have a 60+ day supply of all essentials (food, water, medical, security). I have solar power at the house and a small 3 fuel generator (2000w Honda). I can use the pool water if I have to but that's not the plan. I have several boxes of nitrile gloves and a couple breathing apparatus units and some of spare p100 cartridges but not for bio stuff, but because I'm always out in my garage doing projects. If I was asked to voluntarily quarantine I would be in pretty good shape today if need be but lets hope it doesn't get to that.

No DUI in a boat up here, so 19 xxxx,s is a touch better for boat driving responsibilities than full strength all day.
( went fishing the other week with a bloke on full strength all day and he was messy )

I've heard decent Malbec prevents it, so that's being acquired at the weekend by the pallet.
Ahem....

If so, what are you stocking up on?

(I’m actually in for about $100 worth of rice, beans and diapers. Should last two weeks.)

Just curious what other people are thinking here

TP.. don't forget TP....

Ahem....

I'm going to give W. Blitzer the benefit of the doubt, after all I may have picked up the right stuff at the duty free shop.

😀
