I have four Omega watches, one a birth year watch [1945] one was my dad's the other two are both Seamasters. A 2009 Seamaster 2500 and a 1970 SM300. I had three or four speedies and sold them all.

Seamaster for sure. I love my one Speedmaster, but it does not get as much wrist time as my collection of 6 or so Seamasters. Mostly bond era wave dialed ones with a vintage gold dress watch thrown in for special occasions.

Like many of the others that have responded I like bot but lately have been more interested in my Seamasters, especially the Spectre that I just got.

I like both the Seamaster and the Speedmaster, my Seamaster will be 10 years old in 2020 whereas my Speedmaster is a ripe old 2019 vintage, bothe watches are very different but for me have one thing in common the clarity of design, i can read the time on both watches at a glance, no fuss or having to look twice, and this is why I like my Omega's so much.

Have both the A11 50th SS and PO (and waiting on another Seamaster for delivery). I'm leaning more towards the Seamaster than the Speedys.... just from an aesthetic perspective (if you point a gun to my head). I don't wear my Speedy that often because it can look too busy, but if you're a collector of Omega, you should own a Seamaster AND a Speedy..... check both boxes and move them into the rotation

Thanks for the pics, not seen the trilogy next to the Spectre before, didn’t realise they were so different.

Personally I’m a leg and breast man, but love both watches. I lean towards the chrono’s though.

Well, my favourite watch of all time is this Speedy I re-bought 15 years after selling the same model, so that probably means I am a Speedy Guy. But, I will add another Seamaster sooner or later. Just waiting for a good Seamaster GMT Ti to show up somewhere along the line 😉

I didn’t either until I took the picture today. I like both but the trilogy has more of the vintage look and size to it.

That’s a hell of a nice collection. Panda would be my top pick but they all work well together.

Like you the Panda is one of my favorites. Especially like the date in red in tribute to Apollo 11 as a reminder of a very special event.

Thanks I also like the small collection of Omegas I have. For the last 30 years that I have been interested in watches I was a vintage watch fan only and didn't really pay much attention to the modern watches. Its only been the last several years where some of the modern watches caught my attention and I am enjoying them. Especially with Omega, I know many make a joke about limited editions and I also laugh at it but it does give us a diversity and makes it interesting.

As you can see, I have both. I had a small inheritance (£3.5K) in 2008 & I was looking for a "serious" watch. The candidates were i) a no date Sub & ii) a Speedy.
Because I was young & stupid the Hesalite & the daily manual winding put me off the Speedy, so I went & tried the Sub (remember when you could do that). It felt unbalanced & the bracelet felt flimsy (they used hollow links in those days) & it would have cleaned me out. The Speedy was only £1,600 in 2008.
The search began again & I came across a 2254 - just like the Sub it was W/R to 300m & COSC rated. I thought it felt better (solid links) & looked MUCH better, so I began looking. I got a 1 year old example with box, papers & a year on the Omega warranty in Watchfinder for £895!
Watchfinder was an independent with only 1 shop in those days.
The Speedy urge never left me & I finally got one last year. Never did get the Sub, though I did get a DateJust 41 in stainless steel for my 50th this year - 3 great watches, all individual but all complementing each other in a collection.

I have 3 Seamasters and a single Speedy, but I love em all. I do like the go-anywhere build of the Seamasters and their legibility, but also appreciate the relative svelteness, toolishness and remarkable legibility of the Speedy. Going forward I'd likely add another Speedy (triple-date or white-dial) before a Seamaster.

But if I could only have one, it'd be my SM300 Trilogy. Does everything, goes with everything, is running like a dream, and will I expect age with the great grace of its ancestors.

Like most of us here, I have both. The speedmasters get worn more than the SMP, but that could largely be because they are newer and therefore different. And new. My first Omega was a Seamaster, quartz. My first Speedmaster was from the 90s with the ETA movement which sucked and didn't work right even after repair, so I got rid of it. Back into them with the (hopefully better) Omega movements.

I have both. Actually traded my PO chrono for the Speedmaster however, my SMP quartz gets most wrist time as it’s my daily. Speedy comes out on weekends with my AT being for Sunday best!!!!

Like em both but at the end of the day Seamaster for me. I get wet and muddy working, don’t have to think twice about reaching into the pond with the Seamaster. I love the look and history of the speedy but practicality wins out at days end.

Tough to answer. I prefer a Speedmaster, and usually rotate them out every day. So it does not feel like they get much wrist time. They all get very little wrist time.

When I go on vacation I take a Seamaster. However, this is first the first vacation were I have taken a Speedmaster. But I also took my Yema. I have taken multiple watches on vacation, but it seems to be working out great.
