Are there any grey market sellers in the UK?

Hi all, I posted a question in the sellers review section to see if anyone could recommend a grey market seller that is based in the UK, and active on Omega Forums. Unfortunately I did not get any answers, so casting the question to a wider audience here.

Why does it matter if they are active on the forum? There are a good number of reasonable grey market sellers in the U.K., watchfinder in general being the biggest.

As above - Watchfinder are the biggest, you can pretty much get any model watch from them..

Yes, I agree. However, if your willing to pay the grey market prices anyway -at least they come with relief and guaranteed genuine.

Iconic Watches have a good reputation, although their discounts are not what they used to be (10% now if you're lucky).

You'll not find them on a forum.

I have also used Iconic and the experience was very good. Nice walking into a real store and picking up a bargain.
What specific watch are you looking for that you have to go grey?

I've had good experiences with David carpenter who is also an omega repair centre and an amaizing watch repair specialist

Thanks all. The reason I asked for a recommendation from an active member on the forum is that I had good experience from one of the active sellers on the forum when I lived in the USA (bought a brand new moon watch for 70% of the retail price). I will have a look at some of the recommendations above. Looking for a watch for the wife.

There are certainly grey market sellers in the US that will ship internationally. Jomashop in Brooklyn comes to mind.

For sure, but you’ll also get stung for 20% vat on top when imported.

^ Yes, the import fees kill this off as something worth pursuing.

Point taken. I guess it would depend on the particular model being sought and what the net grey market discount would be after factoring in import duties and VAT.

Yes, absolutely - there must be cases where it may still be cheaper 👍

If my trip to Ireland next month wasn't indefinitely postponed, I'd offer to hand-deliver your purchase in exchange for a pint. 😉
