Are the pictures of this 3573.50 indicative of polishing

Be a novice that I am, are the two pictures indicating a polishing or just from use. Lug shots.
Looking at a 3573.50, the sapphire front and back are a point of interest for me.

The twisted lug Speedies have the center surface polished and the inner and outer surfaces are brushed. This fine detail and contrasting surfaces add interest to the case. When they are polished all of this is lost. In your photos you can see the polished surface and the brushed surfaces which indicates it has not been polished.

This assumes I understand what I am looking at, it is quite zoomed in.

Agree with the above assessment. An indication of polishing would be the loss of that nice defined edge you can see in the pic. This usually gets rounded when over polished, or loses it straightness due to uneven polishing.

So am I just seeing normal machining of lug?

The dings are pretty clear too. Wouldn鈥檛 leave those if they bothered to polish it.
