I've had this one for ten years and have just had the original brown strap changed to a new black one. I think it suits it rather well. The matching bracelet for this would definitely be way over the top!

However in terms of potential resale value you should purchase the watch with the bracelet attached and then purchase a leather strap for it.

Precisely this. Looks awesome on a strap, but buy it with the bracelet.

I wear my 2503.80 on a brown hirsch strap sometimes. Full disclosure that this is not my pic ( I dont have the skill to take one this good) but it did inspire me to track down this strap when I saw it online so this is the exact look of my watch.

I have 3 Rolex, 2 zenith, and 1 omega... All on leather straps of various colors and texture and stitching. All my bracelets are mint sitting in the boxes. Each to his own, but I find the leather straps more comfortable, and I don't mind tossing them every couple of years for a new one. Just me though...

I got a Hirsch strap and put an Omega buckle on it.. looks great IMO but I alternate between this and the original steel from time to time.
