Aqua Terra - stiff wind anyone?

When I had my green teak dial AT the winding was really unpleasant—I know exactly what you mean. And I too tried to find a winder. It was tricky because the crown is fairly large. Most winder seem to be designed to help folks wind watches with tiny crowns (and they do help with that): the purpose seems to be enlarging the grip, not leverage per se.

Every one I tried was either to small to fit over the crown or otherwise threatened to scratch the hell out of the crown or the case.

Maybe you’ll have better luck. But in the end I just decided to tough it out. Latex gloves can help—no joke—or even holding the crown and turning the watch.

Thanks for the suggestions @Annapolis . I found it is easier to screw in the crown with your left hand while holding it upside down with your right hand.

Another thing I have done is put it on a watch winder first before wearing. Power reserve of the 8900 movement fortunately is very good.

Can anyone recommend a crown winder tool for the AT? It is painful to wind the AT crown because of its shape and stiffness.
I feel you can wind In minimally just to get it running and then wear it. This is the advertised benefit of the twin barrels. It allows accurate time being minimally wound. I have no personal experience.
