Aqua Terra Dial Switch

Hey folks! I always find great info here so - I have a curiosity for the community.
I've always loved aqua terra models but they never quite make the dial combo I want as I'm after something in black and yellow gold.

I thought about combining two aqua terra dials. I want to take the black dial from one model and place the gold hour markers and omega logo on it, switching out the silver dials.

Has anyone done this? Either on purpose or as a part of a service?

I wasn't sure if these items can even be switched or if they're glued on in a way it would ruin the dial....
Any help appreciated.

I am not an expert on this, but from what I've read/seen online, applied indices are sometimes not only glued, but essentially "bolted" to the dial via holes that poke through: the indices have attachments that poke through those holes and are then affixed on the obverse dial-side. I am not sure if this is the case for the AT, but I do feel safe assuming that whatever method Omega uses, the indices are going to be attached very thoroughly, and removing them will not only destroy the ones you're removing but will also almost certainly require damaging the dial itself. And then there's the matter of attaching the new indices (and how are you obtaining those?---if you're removing them from another dial, they'll almost definitely be damaged themselves).

All to say I don't think you can swap indices. Swapping dials might be an easier matter for a watchmaker, but it sounds like no dial exists that's exactly what you're after. (My AT has a black dial and rose gold indices, but it's not a standard-issue AT.) If this is something you really want, you might be better off contacting a specialty watch customizer (like TitanBlack, maybe?) and see what they can do for you: they'll have the knowledge and the skill---this isn't a DIY. But I'd expect the customization to cost as much or more than the watch itself...

You can do a dial swap from this model:

231.23.42.21.06.003

It is the dark brown face / gold markers. You may also need to change your hands and date wheel depending on what your current dial / date wheel combo is…

Any competent watch maker should be able to do it. Provided the base Aqua Terra models are identical ie same generation, same case size etc..

Be aware it will be expensive. Last time I priced up a dial change for a dial with gold markers it was around AUD$1700 for the dial, and around $400 for 3 x hands and date wheel. Watch makers labour was on top and my watchmaker also typically changes gaskets and seals.
