Picked up an Aqua Terra Black Lacquer 41mm in Bahrain today. Absolutely stunning dial and wonderfully fitting bracelet. Also love the lume and caseback...all in all will make a wonderful daily....

Although a new introduction in Bahrain with discount and VAT refund watch came to about $6100...

It's a beauty! Tried this one on last time at the OB. They did a great job on the deep black dial and really sets it apart. Wear it in good heath!

Did you try on a 38 as well, if so, opinions?

The AT’s are great watches. Sophisticated styling, excellent movements and the bracelet is awesome. I have the 38.5mm Skyfall model with the vertical blue “teak” dial that Daniel Craig wire in the Bond film and it’s one of my favorites.

I can’t seem to be a one-watch person, but if I were, the Aqua Terra is one watch I’d have. Looks good with swim trunks; looks good with a tuxedo. And in terms of styling, comfort, bracelet design, etc, I’d pick it over a Datejust or Oyster Perpetual any day. Grand Seiko has a few models that might give me a second thought, but the hesitation would pass.

Sadly did not have time to try out the 38mm, but did take a few pics of the 38mm size. Looked fairly substantial in size for the so called smaller size. Let me put it this way the difference between the 41mm and 38mm did not seem as significant as a 40mm to a 36mm Rolex model in my eyes.

Thank you all for your kind words. The watch has been a bit of a revelation in that I knew I always wanted to own it but now I fully understand why people call this watch a possible one and done reference. The deep black dial is stunning and I love the dial layout, such an elegant piece that's connected to such a comfortable well designed bracelet...in short a winner.

I also prefer slightly bigger watches and the 41mm sits beautifully on my wrist. In terms of size it sits very close to the skydweller (in how much of my wrist it covers although the skydweller is much thicker) which I also picked up on the same trip from my Rolex AD in Bahrain....yes it was a good trip 😀 ....As predominantly a Rolex guy, this Aqua Terra has had the same wrist time as the Skydweller since I picked them up last week and I think that says alot....

Bought this watch recently, when using the hour jump function should the hour hand land exactly at the next hour number on the dial or just close to it

Depends where the minute hand is. If the minute hand is at 30 then the hour hand will line up 1/2 between the hours or very close to and when you press the crown in, it will line up perfectly.
