Aqua Terra 150 Master vs Diver 300 Purchase

    Hey all,

I know this is a matter of preference but I am torn. I love both watches and if I had the money would buy them both. I want something to wear as an everyday watch. Usually the Diver would be my choice hands down but I already own the Casino Royale edition Diver watch. I'm question should I have two divers even though the Bond watch is a special edition I'll rarely wear. Hence why I was leaning toward getting an Aqua Terra. I just want something light on my wrist since I am at a desk all day doing drafting and engineering work. Thoughts or opinions? If it was me I would go for the one I preferred more even if it was a tiny tiny bit more. My impression is that you like the diver a bit more. Another way to think about it is which one would you be more bothered about leaving in the shop.
If you have not done so already then go and try them, this will probably help you make up your mind. For what its worth I think The aqua terra has a nice clean simple look to it so I would go for that one especially if I already had a diver.

100% get the Aqua Terra, bought my dad one and its a superb watch, the Omega press pictures of the dial do it no justice at all, if you try it on at a boutique or AD you'll realise just how special the starburst metallic blue dial is. Then there's the fact that its a Calibre 8500 movement as opposed to the 2500D, its a superb watch, couldn't recommend it more.

Have a look through this thread of pics of the AT8500 Skyfall: https://omegaforums.net/threads/aqua-terra-skyfall-hit-by-sun-rays.23664/

We also did a video review of the SMPC diver here too: https://omegaforums.net/threads/video-omega-seamaster-pro-300m-ceramic-review.16319/

I'm for the Aqua Terra as well. I have both and I can tell you rhe Aqua Terra Master or no master CX is IMHO one of the out perfect designs out there. It wears bigger than the sub because it's all dial, it's sporty and durable and suited for any activity but clean and elegant as well. The blue dial changes depth from gray to metal blue depending on the light and it also looks good on a Cordova. The SMPc is also a great watch but not as flexible. If you have a smp already, bond or no bond it's going to wear about the same as any other smpc, unless it's a white shark or something. Take the AT and have the choice to wear two different watches rather than two versions one.

Yea that's another point, the 41.5mm AT wears far bigger than the 41.5 SMP, the slim bezel and large dial really make it feel like a significant watch even though its more elegant than sporty.

I would go with the At in grey dial teak or the blue dial.
As mentioned already the 8500 movement, and you already have a dive style...kelly

The markers point too far in on the dial for my tastes. Even further than the SM300. ;)

    Cheers, Al

So you'd prefer less length and more girth perhaps?

(;) cheeky) It's true, but only the 5 minute markers. it's the minute markers that drive me off the smp300. Imagine that same AT dial with the minute markers extending to 3/4ths of the 5 minute ones. Proportion-wise I like these better on the larger dial size of the AT and with the overall balance of the design. it doesn't create that starfish effect in my eye.

The AT is a perfect watch in my opinion. Fantastic.

Yours is size 41.5mm right? In the last picture, it looks a bit large on your wrist

Im kinda in your same shoes... Started in on an Omega hunt after not buying any new watches for almost a year. Then decided to sell my Tag Aquaracer and replace it with the SMPc since it was so damn close but with all the new bell and whistle upgrades.
I grabbed a Speedy 57' which I quickly fell in love with, but had to sell it after having an emergency (which has since been positively rectified).
Being back in the market, I decided to start back looking at the SMPc again. Ended up buying a sapphire sandwhich yesterday, but we are still courting, and I'm not to sure I love her. Thinking about an Aqua Terra Chrono. Moral of the story is follow your original hearts desire or you'll always second guess...

I've also got both. Vote the AT every time. Not a huge fan of the 300. Actually considering selling it!
