It does wear more like a 5 digit, yes. See how you go. I thoroughly reccomend the Apollo 8. It really is a great watch - so light and comfortable.

I never thought I’d like it, but it steals wrist time from my 16710 and I never thought that would happen.
I will say, the deep blue is great (if a little big for me). I would defo get that one first if you can at retail.

I like it but prefer Omega’s use of orange as opposed to yellow. I certainly wouldn’t swap my Ultraman for one of these - not that I’ve ever been asked to!

I love the yellow highlights and the detail on the face and skeleton movement... and the strap. The strap rocks.

My only concern (and yes, I have not yet tried it on at the dealer because that way liles financial ruin) is that it will be too large for my dainty wrist. I'm interested in opinions from folks who are small boned and have the watch. I just measured, it's 6 3/8 and I like my watches fairly tight.

The 42mm Speedy looks good on me though... (I have one) whereas my SMP 300 (also 42mm) looks a smidgen large.

I love the Dark Side of the Moon speedy. The use of yellow is very well done. I also like the PCA version, but the price is just too high on that one. I have seen the Dark Side of the Moon in person and it is much better looking in person than in photos!

I honestly think you will be fine. I can’t wear certain watches as while I have a 7 inch wrist it’s quite round and not flat/wide like some. The Apollo 8 actually wears reasonable lug to lug. Best option is to try it, but if you are good with a speedy (assume on the bracelet) then you should be ok with this.

Thanks Steve. While I do have the dainty wrists, they are rather flat, so it may work. I'm going to try and hit the AD tomorrow at lunch and see.

I saw one at a AD a few weeks ago and it’s really ni e in person. Really beautiful design and the exposed textured bits.

The Apollo 8 DSOTM is definitely the best of the speedmaster ceramics,it’s great to wear, and I’m positive they won’t be available for long..and it’s the only hand wound....
I would say therefore it’s the only ceramic Moonwatch but I’m sure someone will chime in with “ it hasn’t got a hesalite etc...”. So I wont ..... But it is ....
If anyone in UK wants one I saw one new in store window two days ago..... pm me for details

They are quite readily available in the U.K. currently, but I agree it’s a great watch. I got mine from a boutique so no discount but plenty of AD’s have them and with a possible discount I think these are a great buy.

I would love to see more like the Apollo 8 with the slimmer profile compared to the previous DSOTM/GSOTM/etc. Maybe they'll do some when the calibre 3861 becomes their "standard" Speedy Pro movement. Nothing against the ceramic automatic Speedmasters, but they are quite thick compared to the Moonwatch.
