Watched the first season with my wife and young kids (boy and girl) and I was surprised how we all loved it for different reasons.

And enjoying the 2nd season. Excited with possibility of you one who showing up.

Rest of the modern Star Wars should learn from this series...

SEASON TWO SPOILER BELOW:

The Mandalorian, hands down, is the greatest Star Wars related content to come out in the last 20 years. The writing, acting, and cinematography are incredibly well done and refreshing. Movies 1-3 and 7-9 should be wiped out of my memory and replaced with this... and the only decent independent movie recently was Rogue One. The first episode of Season 2 was already incredible, and I'm so thrilled to see Boba Fett (my favorite character) return after almost a 40 year hiatus.

I see it as a space western. I like the series more than episodes 1, 2, 3...

Oh no! Sorry to hear that. I've watched it twice - can't get enough of it.

Absolutely. Senior Star Wars Disney people should be taking notes.

[MANDO SPOILER - READ AT YOUR OWN RISK] I mean considering how long the Millennium Falcon was knocking around, I wouldn't be surprised if Boba decides to look for Slave 1 to leave Tatooine to follow Mando.

That was my thinking, considering it all happened out on Jabba's barge, the palace was intact as I suspect his ship.

How cool would that be to see it again, no I not gonna post pics this time although Han is still in the cargo hold 😎

I hope Jon Favreau hasn't put too much fan service into this show and made it as original as possible. Mando takes place 5 years after RoTJ and 25 years before Episode 7, so there is some room for a few easter eggs here and there.

Oh no the fan service is super deep cuts that most people never notice.
It’s a tribute to kirasawa and the old westerns. Just the way the original series was.
The other show runner is the guy that did the clone wars series.

The dweebs (me included) notice everything! Yeah definitely agree with you on the old westerns influences. And yep, you're speaking about Dave Filoni. A man who loves Star Wars inside and out and it shows from all the things he has been involved in to date...

Episode 10 was disappointing. Spiders? Meh.
It was a filler episode. You would think with such short seasons... unless they really needed a completely indoors shoot to save money due to epic out doors shots in the pilot?

I loved the first season. I liked that they took two characters you didn't really know much about and made them the focus of the series. It's an odd paring at first, but now it really works. It's much more of a western than the originals and I love that about it too. I'll keep Disney+ just for it.
